hi there do you still have your ugg bomber jacketI own the original jacket and can tell you it is impossible to find. There are some good replicas though, the best one currently made can be found on ebay by the seller White Sheep Leather, it even has the stretch fabric panels on the sides, as does the original one. It does not have the correct zippers, nor the quilted inner lining of the real jacket.
The collar on james' jacket is a fairly good attempt at recreating the altered collar, although I doubt it's not altered in the same way it is on Rick's UGG jacket. However the back of the collar is something that should be mentioned.
We have established that the TWD costume department is using three UGG jackets for Rick's appearance. Two are smaller (jackets 1 and 2) and one jacket is one size bigger (jacket 3), but taken in at the sides. Since the collar on the UGG jackets is originally larger and the collar for Rick's jackets is only made shorter at the front, the back of the collar retains its original length.
The picture james is refering to for comparison with his collar is the bigger sized jacket 3. However there's something else going on with the collar on jacket 3 that's slightly different on jacket 1 and 2, and that's happening at the back. The back of the collar of jacket 3 looks different from the collars of jacket 1 and 2. It may seem like the collar is altered, but I think it's no alteration or anything, but just the way how the outside piece of the collar (the suede piece) is folded differently from the inside of the collar (the fur). I can totally replicate this effect with my own jackets that aren't altered in any way.
I'll explain it with a few pictures:

I just thought that it should be mentioned, before people start cutting up the back of the collar of their UGG jackets to make it look "screen accurate", while it's not.
i thinl the full frontal of my collar is near identical to ricks apart from i need a little bit of wear on the left side of mine then its bang on.The collar on james' jacket is a fairly good attempt at recreating the altered collar, although I doubt it's not altered in the same way it is on Rick's UGG jacket. Are any of these what you mean?Trev211996 Could you perhaps shoot a picture of the collar? To be more specific: of the suede piece of the collar at the front?
That’s why I suggest an UGG Belfast replica. It’ll copy an UGG very closely and not Rick’s jacket or I should say.. Rick’s collar because the majority of these replicas focus solely on the collar more than anything and I can understand that considering how hard it is to replicate.Aha! Thanks for posting the pics Trev211996 !
It's now clear to me that Indy has cheated a little to make the collar look similar to the altered collar on Rick's jacket, by not pushing and folding the collar inwards, but applying it to the cut of the collar itself. It's not how I would have done it.
Personally I hope there will be an option to order the jacket with the bigger unaltered UGG collar with strap and button so I can alter it myself.

Now to work on an UGG Belfast replica with pocket and all might prove beneficial to those seeking personal replication. I can get behind that and it’d still give Indy a great additional option to make money off this jacket design. I wonder if this is his most complicated replica of all time lol wouldn’t surprise me this thing is complicated I wonder what the UGG company was thinking when designing the Belfast Suede; “alright just throw a bunch of suede and stuff together and make it stretchy on the side with a collar, boom sell it for $499”
Understandable but of course none of this had to happen had UGG continued production of it I mean it was super appealing to the eye not just because of the show but it is a head turning jacket unlike 90% of their jackets on their website currently that just look goofy. UGG had something very unique don’t know why they did away with it. Maybe because of the ridiculous price perhaps guess we’ll never knowThe key to getting Rick's jacket correct would indeed be basically copying the UGG jacket (minus the exterior chest pocket), but copying the UGG Belfast jacket 100% (with exterior chest pocket) could potentially bring this project into some legal issues. To prevent that I think that it's important to not include too many things that are on the original UGG, while they're not on Rick's jacket. But since Rick's jacket in TWD is an altered UGG jacket, it's inevitable that a lot of the original UGG jacket will get copied.
You're right about other replicas. Most "replica" makers basically focus on the brown suede leather and the collar and slap the name "Rick Grimes" on their jacket to make an easy buck out of it.

Yes they are insane i have contacted ugg tro ask them about remaking the jacket but they are not interested its insane surely if we all got together and asked them it might make a difference even if they make a few custom one off jackets? i would give my left nut to get hold of one of these ... no actually sod it both nuts!I totally agree!
