OK, to be fair, it was rings of power. At what stage did those creative geniuses do anything but click bait you? Not happy to hear it may become a trend in other franchises. That would suck. Not movies but TV. I'm really getting tired of the season finale not actually being the season finale, but instead just the build up. "Oh, we'll give them the season finale in the 1st episode of next season."
Rings of Power did it and now Daredevil. Ticks me off!!
Daredevil gets a pass as it was supposed to be an 18 ep season 1. They screwed up and started over so they ran out of time for the full 18 out of the gate. Not movies but TV. Also the hero who just happens to have a cache of full auto weapons, infinite ammo and explosives just laying around just in case his daughter ever gets kidnapped.
I'm so tired of seeing the Private Investigator type who does most of his work for free and has little to no means of actual income living in some lavish apartment/house and driving some hot sports car and traveling all over.
Also the hero who had all these crazy careers like he was ex Special Forces AND ex-CIA AND used to be a neurosurgeon AND a fighter pilot.

I just noticed watching a pirate film on AmazonPrime over the weekend.
Bunch of the crew standing on deck doing whatever.... suddenly they are interrupted 'Land Ho', they all turn round surprised, only to see an island so close that it must have been in view for the last few hours.
I guess its not so cinematic to see a tiny speck of an island on the horizon.
Martial arts! I had to fight a girl in a tournament as a yellow belt. She was a green belt (one grade above). I thought I'd go easy on her and she knocked me unconscious with a round house kick to the back of the head. I woke up to the Sensei slapping me round the face to wake me up. Hilarious!Oh you're going to love NASA astronaut Jonny Kim then. He was a Navy SEAL, medical doctor, and then astronaut.
I have another one after watching Iron Fist Season 2 (along with other movies I can't recall). They teach a group of street kids Kung Fu for all of about a week and then they fight a girl who is an expert martial artist who did it most of her life. They actually knock her down several times. I think I could take on ten white belts with my 37 years of martial arts no problem and I wouldn't call myself an expert.

I received my first permanent injury from 3 pointing a black as a yellow. His mantra was "better to be disqualified than lose to a lower belt". The late strike came after the third and final point was called. Needless to say, both my kids had a chance of not happening after that day. Really should not have even been in the ring but I had gone through the ladder and he was next.I've seen much lower belts beat black belts at tournaments many times. There's a difference between experience and knowledge. Some black belts have both and others are just there for exercise.
I used a special kung fu move I invented on the fly. My opponent tried to deliver a kick to my chest area. I skillfully tangled his foot in my sleeve and threw him to the floor breaking his toes and a couple of foot bones in the proccess. He wont try that again (nor will I).I received my first permanent injury from 3 pointing a black as a yellow. His mantra was "better to be disqualified than lose to a lower belt". You can’t beat a flying double Cuban heeled boot to the chest, followed by a clasped hands, double chop to the kidneys. I learnt all my fighting moves from Captain Kirk!I used a special kung fu move I invented on the fly. My opponent tried to deliver a kick to my chest area. I would definitely fall into the latter category. I took taekwondo for a few years a good while ago and eventually worked my way up to 1st degree black belt, but I never competed; not in sparring or even in forms. I might have been able to compete in forms but I'm certain I would have had my butt handed to me in sparring since I'd likely be going up against people who had been doing this for far longer than I have, and were younger and in better shape than me since I was in my late '40s when I started. I was most certainly there for the exercise more than anything and had absolutely no illusions about being some martial arts master, despite having made it to black belt.I've seen much lower belts beat black belts at tournaments many times. Still, the belt deserves kudos, either way.I would definitely fall into the latter category.
