The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

Instead of all of this interest in spelling maybe we should be concentrating on where the Tricorders are. This Friday is 5 weeks from the time they posted stock in Chicago with more shipments since that were air shipped. So where are they ? Lost in the swirling maze of past and future .......
There never were any Tricorders. I’m afraid we are all the victims of an elaborate hoax that has been perpetrated on us.

Funny thing about that--the 23rd Century thing wasn't a thing till WOK. Before then, on TOS, the time period was a bit of a moving target. The Air Force officer interrogating Kirk in Tomorrow is Yesterday says, "I'm going to lock you up for 200 years," and Kirk replies, "That ought to be just about right."

But in Squire of Gothos, the time period is 900 years after (more-or-less) the 18th or 19th Century.

The first would put TOS sometime in the mid-22d Century, the second some time in the 27th or 28th.

I'm fine with the 23rd Century, it's a thing now, and we're sort of stuck with it--but let's always remember, it's a total retcon.

Just sayin'.
In Space Seed, Kirk tells Khan he had been asleep for two centuries. Khan left in the 1980s, so we are back to the 22nd Century or early 23rd.

Forgot about that (but didn't Khan do his thing in the 90's?). Because I never watch Space Seed. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. Whenever I watch S1, I always skip it (along with Alternative Factor).

Marla McGivers crawls like a worm. And we're supposed to believe she's an officer on a starship. One of the worst female characters of TOS, right down there with Janice Lester and Mira Romaine. I find her disgusting.

Not that I have an opinion about it or anything. :p

You are correct Sir! 1992-1996

So, that puts us more firmly into 23rd Century territory.

To paraphrase Jessica Rabbit: Don't hate Marla McGivers, she isn't bad, she was just written that way. ;)

Why was she written that way? So the story could happen.

Have you got his exact post . Couldn't find it .

yes, once we have sold to all the fans that registered that want to buy from us, we will send some stock to Australia (although we haven’t sold it to Ozzie Collectibles, but a company called Ikon Collectibles. They only have a few units. It will have been on Amazon a long time before then. In fact expect some exciting news tomorrow!

There's nothing you can do. Just sit back and wait.

Yo anyone getting riled up about this situation, unwatch the thread and withdraw your registration of interest. Problem solved.

The way some people here are reacting is so disproportionate. The Wand Company have done their utmost to deliver the most accurate replica that has so many extra functions at a price that most people would pay for a kit of many other props.
Yes there were mistakes made in the initial listing that meant some slipped out and went to scalpers, that just happens. There have certainly been a LOT of headaches caused by the Tariffs chaos.
Some people have thrown their toys out of the pram and declared they aren't going to buy one now. Fine, don't buy one, totally understandable, just stop moaning about the situation.

Going by anecdotal posts from members here, it seems on Facebook TWC have faced a lot of totally unnecessary hate and criticism. People have left negative feedback on review sites to try and discredit TWC.
The company are trying to deal with Amazon. Let them get on with it.
The team didn't invest all this time, money and attention to detail to make a few hundred Tricorders. If they say there will be enough trust them, they aren't going to want to lose money on potential sales after all of this.
The team have been nothing but gracious and polite to almost a fault despite having to deal with a lot.
Give them a break.
