Seeing too much over there about ‘Wand really screwed this rollout!’
Try tariffs and customs, dudes. Wand is doing their best.
Mine came DHL. Im sure that helped speed things up beating the customs issues.
Do any of these self-aggrandizing, whiny little snitches even stop to consider how much money TWC is losing on these tricorders now?
They announced a price of $350.00 five years ago. In that time the cost of everything has gone up, but they only increased their price by $9.99.
They are probably selling these for at cost +10% at this point.
They could have raised the prices, but they have not because they know we’ve been waiting a long time for these.
I hope that each of you gets the support in your life that you need at the time you need it most.
How would you feel if you got into a car accident and it was totaled, and you had been in the hospital for three days, just to tell your mother what happened and she flies off the handle yelling at you because now you won’t be able to take her to her doctor appointment next week!
Get some stinking perspective!
What does TWC owe any of us? Oh, that’s right, nothing!
It’s here! It’s literally with an arms reach now. My goodness, we’ve waited. Five years, another couple of weeks isn’t going to kill us.
And if the tariffs are a breaking point, again, how is that their fault?
They’ve done everything they can to get them into our hands, the quickest and easiest way possible.
Sheesh!
Unfortunately this is correct. The COO is China and it’ll be subject to a plethora of additional duties and fees.Tariffs are based on the country of origin, not export. Country of origin is where they are manufactured, unless they undergo a significant transformation in an intermediate country. And transformation has to be more than just assembly and packaging. So for our purposes, country of origin is China.
My brother’s finally cleared Maersk and customs and is headed to Michigan.

Mine headed for St. Louis still says:
- Departed from Maersk Facility

U.S buyers on FB are saying Maersk sent theirs back to Amazon UK. They’re assuming customs issues.
Congratulations to your brother for (maybe) bypassing tariffs. I have the same status as yours and suspect we'll get the same day, whenever that is, since ours are enroute to St. Louis area.My brother’s finally cleared Maersk and customs and is headed to Michigan.

I reached out to their customer service and received this reply:Congratulations to your brother for (maybe) bypassing tariffs. I have the same status as yours and suspect we'll get the same day, whenever that is, since ours are enroute to St. Louis area.
Yeah, there's blood on the walls over in that place. I never interact there.I had to mute The Wand Company Collectors page on FB because of the gawdawful stupidity. Critical thinking and comprehension is severely lacking there currently.
I get the same message about ship date when I look at my canceled order . I had canceled my order because I used the wrong card and they wouldn't change it . Will have to reorder whenever they get them back up on Amazon .Mine now shows the May 31st release date if I go to the "not yet dispatched" tab of my orders. So yeah, looks like the declined card put me in a later batch.

The strap is also somewhat “Rand-sized” and on the shorter side.
Maybe there's an aftermarket opportunity here then? Somebody on the RPF do a run of longer straps! So, I’ve watched the video twice, and don’t really see where there’s any extra length on the strap inside the side panels.
I did throw it over my shoulder just to have it come up to my hip.
It reminds me of the Disney store Indiana Jones bag that had a short strap as well.
With our fortune, the only maker who would be able to do that would live in the UK, and we still have tariffs!Maybe there's an aftermarket opportunity here then? Somebody on the RPF do a run of longer straps!![]()
