I had hundreds of darts, barrel and scope pistons, scope frame spacers and quite a few other parts CNC machined. I will be producing at least 50 more units into the future.

OK, it is been years since I’ve actually purchased someone else’s work. But I have to say that this level of packaging and preparation is well beyond what I was expecting. I am so looking forward to digging into this project.

I have also produced a component painting guide.

It shows pictures and names of each component and allows you to easily work out what parts need to be sprayed a particular colour. I have laid the guide out to be completed in order of colours shown, with black being the most common base colour, then aluminium etc etc. This saves you time and energy having to go back to respray parts previously missed.

I hope this helps all the kit buyers out there!

Did you ever end up having time to do the template for the camo pattern?

I'm just getting ready for painting week in the workshop :) Excellent christmas present.

ZF-1 Painting Templates

These templates are copied across from templates I found on the RPF. If anyone knows who originally created them I will include their names. I used these templates when creating my first ZF-1 and they are perfect, so simply spreading the knowledge onwards.

New video explaining the latest updates to the newest kits.

This is effectively a placeholder video until I update the assembly guide series of videos (hopefully over the Christmas period!)

Thanks everyone

This is a new tuning video for the most recent batch of kits and any new kits in the future.

It’s a long video at 23 minutes but it goes through every step of the tuning procedure for every servo on the prop, and is a must see for anyone who is building my kits.

The control boards have matured to a point where (apart from any small bug fixes) I cannot foresee any major changes to the tuning procedure going forward.

Anyone with older revision boards will still have a very capable control board, but it will lack a few features that makes the build easier. Please get in touch if you’d like to buy the newer model as they are backwards compatible with older kits.

Hello everyone,
I have made up a camo spraying guide based off the PropStore ZF-1.

Please use this inconjunction with the masks to help you spray your camo.

Just remember this is a guide, and please use your own reference if you'd prefer. I just thought I would make it available to others as this is what I will be using going forward when painting completed ZF-1s for customers.

It will be written on the board itself. If the shell is on, you should be able to peak through the left dart hatch to see it.
