i remember a few months back someone wanting ideas for new 1:1 sculpts and i thought Tem would be an obvious choice

its great to see someone doing him up...and really capturing the likeness

Sorry for the lack of updates, the going has been really slow since I wasn't happy with the eye and forehead areas.

I felt it was too flat at certain angles and reworked those areas and therefore had to remove all the detailing I already had.

Again, it may not seem like I did anything, but many hours went into staring at reference pictures and sculpting them.
It almost felt like I started over again:angry.

Did I mention I have OCD when it comes to sculpting:wacko

Anyway, here's the final update I will do until it's finished:

I finally got back around to this sculpt, which I put off due to focusing on my HIC project

Still not finished, but I'm pretty happy with the progress.
Tips on helping me with the skin texture would be great!

I think you've done really with this sculpt. I think you'll find the FX Lab forums to be a great resource in terms of texturing and such.

WOW... can't believe I missed this thread. Don't like the character, but wow, that's a serious cool looking likeness. Very well done, very impressive. There is just something about the lower eyelids... looks a bit off - I would probably remove a little bit of the excess to make the sacks under the eyes less protruding and open his eyes up a little more... but not by much.

Wampa - I've seen great texturing there and will try some of those methods out.

NoHumorMan - I've been struggling as to what expression his eyes are going to have.
It went from expressionless - squinting - worried , but I'll eventually find one that I'll be happy with.

Sorry for the lack of updates.
With all the other projects I have plus a full time job and family, this had to take a back seat for a while.
Here's where it sits at the moment:

I did a quick photoshop job and put in some eyes since the silver eyes are a bit distracting.
I'm hoping to finish this by April. . .I hope:lol

Sorry for the lack of updates, but this guy is constantly being put in the backburner since I get sidetracked so easily with other projects.

Anyway, he's pretty much finished, just tweeking some textures.
You can't really tell from the old pics, but I wasn't happy with some of the angles of the mouth and chin, so I totally reworked this whole area.

Do you guys think this is too much stubble or just right?
