T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

Yeah, I think it's an old iCollector image of a Profiles in History auction, but all those listings were nuked from the site when PiH went under. So if someone saved the old PiH auction pictures that would be cool to see if it is from there. I will check the old PiH catalogues to see if I can punpoint which auction, if it was indeed one of theirs.

Found the auction catalogue.

Well, they are hard to see on such a small picture and they may be tricks of smudges or small picture artifacts. It just looks like there are remnants of the double eyes on the encircled ones.

But even if they are not those, they definitely look different than the Allen screws on the big toe.

Though... it also begs the question if this is even a casting off an original... so might be disregarded. It just has the movie pistons. I'd love to get a casting like that.

I have that foot in my collection, don't really remember the origin. Do you need better pictures?

I tried to read through the thread, but man you guys are going wild! :D

There were a lot of rubber endoskeleton parts in a recent Propstore auction. I wonder if they were all made as spares for the blow-up endo at the end of T1... or they also made rubber parts for the other movies?

Unsold lots usually aren't possible to search for on Propstore's site, so I found them on iCollector instead:

Has the same kind of look and finish as your pelvis casting.

My feet models will be updated with all the new info Quartz posted about as well as the foot casting I got from hollywoodhardware. So many things I didn't get exactly right. What the foot casting further provides is accurate placement and angling of the toe pistons on the ankle plate.

Gonna be fun to go back and tweak things now I can actually take firsthand measurements of something accurate and not just making estimates.

Now I just need to find myself one of these castings. (Highly unlikely to happen... but hey, I never in a million years thought I would get something like this foot casting). Picture of T1 hand castings in Bob Burns' collection courtesy of Quartz - I believe. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

For those assembling their own feet, here is a picture showing angles and placement. Mind you, this was probably molded while the foot was not resting on the ground, so the toes bend down, so don't screw yours in at this angle. Though, if you have the LFS feet, then you just follow the placement of where they connect with the flat ankle piece.

I will start updating my models soon.

Nobody deserves it more my friend. You have been a supportive and giving member of this sub-group and that is becoming harder and harder to find. Enjoy it!
This!!! Carsten is without a doubt the most crucial , giving and knowledgeable person in this whole group. Without him this thread would have died a long time ago. He’s kept my intrest going time and time again and I’m sure many others. :)
