Unlimited Run Star Trek: Picard, Away Jackets, Now Taking Orders!

Yes...and no. Compared above, the distinction is MUCH more subtle in the samples, whereas Marinas still looks blue-er. Its hard to match from photos alone, heck my wifes phone vs mine during the same situation show differently.

Looking at my own book and vs the black/blue leather photo above I think thats too dark vs the photos shown of the suit.
Not sure if its changeable for them at this point and blue-er and brighter would obviously change the hue not just the brightness. Plus how the leather comes out after being dyed with a particular color doesn't always match either. I don't envy the process.

I would hope since details are still being hammered out we can still dial in the blue. Thats what I ordered, so hoping for as close as possible. Worst case if I can request mine to be lighter and I can always dye/paint on my own :)

lol. I was up in the air about the color but decided on blue as well. Who knows about later on. The other thing too is the black leather on the jackets that's not perforated was hand painted which is why it looks a bit "flatter." You can tell the paint on the lower flap of marinas jacket was flaking off in the promo photo on the D bridge. Sooo much went into making these at the studio.

They don't look hand painted to me, where do you see the flaking?

Oh yes, deglazing and painting. This was something I've done only a couple times, but would have been done with spray applicator. When you said hand I was wondering what I missed.

Also things on videos like this are often glossed over. His description on the raised print is not really how it works, but works for laymen :p

Question. I originally ordered a red, but I’m thinking I almost want a blue instead. I think it might work better for every day wear. Is it possible to change, and if so, what’s the deadline for that?

Yes, it should be fine, send a message on etsy from the account that placed the order, and I can make a note. Deadline will be when I get the proper photos taken and we start full production, which is still tbd. Hopefully in the next couple weeks/beginning of June.

Once production begins, how long do you estimate it takes to make each jacket ordered?

I know shipping will vary to location of course. Just curious!

For me I will keep red, because I think in the end it will be also a bit darker with the black delta pattern perforation.

Yeah, I'm really torn, to be honest. I think getting more pictures as we get closer will help me decide. That's why I was asking about the deadline. My wife's car has leather seats with a dark brownish-red (similar to this) and black, and it looks OK. But, there's something more subtle about the blue in the last picture they posted of the two colors together.

Decisions, decisions!

It should be, yes. I can't imagine it stopping before july, and we have several projects that we have produced for many years.
Certainly hope this becomes a “produced for several years” project as I’ve been informed by my physician that I may change sizes dramatically in the next couple years. Not a sure thing but if it happens, I’d probably reorder then.

Is it known what kind of shipping this is going to have? Will it have a tracking number or require a signature for delivery?

Our delivery drivers have a nasty habit of not ringing doorbells when delivering packages. Apparently a leftover policy from the pandemic to not touch "common surfaces"
