Spinner Car 1/8th scale

Beautifully made that seam:cool::cool:(y)(y) How did you do it?

With a very specialized and very expensive tool :)

That's not just a seam, that's an articulation for the wing to move. Sadly, the design is not realized fully and the flexibility of the Spinner is not very evident in the film.

Love the stand. Did you see the guy who made his stand look like it was the thrusters with cotton wool, as it was taking off.

And this is the result.
I mixed some semi transparent resin for this, and i might even put some dim leds in them to simulate being back lit.
This is the look I'm going for:

I decide to tilted it slightly back to it a little more dynamic look to it, not too much or Deckard would spill his noodles :)

Not to derail, but it seems that Master Replica is doing an 11 inches Spinner (die-cast) price: $ 235:unsure:
No figures in the cockpit:(

Not very accurate, and only slightly bigger than the Fujimi model.

I am more afraid DeAgostini will do an 1/8th scale just before I finished mine :)

If they do it will be a £1000 over 2 years I hate that hole drip feed model making.

Small update.
I printed the light mounting rack with a strong resin, but found it still to fragile, and opted to have it printed in Aluminium.
the price was the same for 2 sets, but still € 140,- ...

Still glad I did it, the parts are strong enough to withstand accidental bumping.

Mounted the roof light racks.
Made a more accurate side railing, I really had some trouble to choose how it would look, there is a big difference between all models big and small, and the real live version, I just made something in between all those versions
I made a hole through the whole part to run wires through, that's what I love about 3D printing.

Some big ass side mirrors, they are really big, had to check several times to make sure I did not oversize them :)
and replace the back light bar that better fits and can hold more accurate lighting.
