Question regarding the webbing... if I have a print (not based on yours) that I'm considering doing urethane webbing for, what would be the easiest way to size it to the print? I was thinking that doing a print out would be good, but then how would I translate the modified Illustrator file to the STL or OBJ?
I'm modding the files to create a scarlet spider costume (These were great btw!)
I'm having an issue though where the webbing lines should be there are "empty" spots. I'm not sure how to fill them...
check it out.. any ideas?View attachment 316798
Would these be on properly and when put together come out as one piece?

Look at reference pics of the rami suit and see where the top legs are on the webs, then refer back to the pattern and adjust the legs to make sure the top legs are in the same sections of the webs so when sewn it looks perfect. Hope that helps!

The spider doesn't look symmetrical in terms of the middle part of the spider being on the middle web.
hmm well try fiddling with it.Its odd, its centered on the suit, but the webbing just on this pattern kind of goes out like it does. On every other pattern I seen it goes straight down(on top of where the spider is)
You can see what Im trying to point out in my last post on the previous page.
You either need to extrude them in 3dsmax or download the 3d web file and size them the same as your suit and webbing.Hey kenlandrum, I got the webbing from my print and have resized the .ai files. How do I translate that to the 3D files?
