Spaceballs Dark Helmet

Yes, that's a pretty good rough draft. Naturally, it would also need the hinge so the front can open. If you did make it, what would something like this usually run about?
Probably 2 spools of 1kg filament, a 3d printer, time, energy, sanding and painting and prepping the helmet for wearing. Overall, I'd say about tree fiddy.

But seriously, if I were making it, about $100 USD all in to put one together. That would include buying a hard hat and some spray foam.
That looks pretty badass. What measurements would you need? I don't exactly have a small head.
I wouldn't worry, It's sized comically large:

That's a 24" head around. The mannequin is 5'10" 185 lbs

I'm 6'0, 225-230 lbs, and the circumference at the middle of my forehead is about 24".
Another obvious question I forgot to ask. Where are you located?

Are you still interested in this project? I haven't seen an update in 2 weeks.
I was simply pricing out what it would cost me to make this project. I am not in the business of making for others, sorry. I make my files available for free so that people like yourself can create if they like. I just like to see the final products once in a while.

RE Doesn't include the mounting instructions (I'm assuming a lot of foam) nor is there a cut up version. Maybe use a nail to complete the hinge

… only one way to find out. Start slicing!

Short People GIF
12 pieces for the P1S…I edit:”would need” a giga printer to avoid all the seams :p…but definitely progress
