Shawshank Redemption, The

On a side note, if you want to make your own Jughead comics, here's a link with free download for (possibly) all issued numbers ==> Archie’s Pal Jughead.

And if you want the map of Texas Red is examining, you'll have to search for C. S. Hammond's Atlas with the map of Tennessee on one page and Texas on the other page:
Image35_2.png Image38_2.png il_1140xN.6226592907_kphn.png s-l1600 (22).png

While these are not quite the correct versions (the missing text at the bottom right corner of the page - UNITED STATES SECTION * 153), these are the closest I could find so far.

I have found a smaller version on archive.org (link here ==> Hammond's complete world atlas : C.S. Hammond & Company : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive) with each map separated on 2 pages:

Just realized that the Warrants were not made at full size, so the files in post #70 and #77 were replaced with the correct dimensions, more exactly 358 x 214 mm.

Also did a better variant of the round and wavy stamp prints on Tommy's envelope and made some flaps to make it fully functional:
Tommy's Envelope with Stamps.png Tommy's Envelope Flaps.png
After you glue the flaps to the inside of the envelope base, you should fold the 2 side flaps and glue them together, then fold the bottom one and glue to the side flaps; then, if you have some metal clasps, you can add them to the envelope.

Last, but not least, here are Andy's triplettes:
Rita Heyworth Poster LR.png Marilyn Monroe Poster LR.png Raquel Welch Poster LR.png

For hi-res/full size download from these links ==> Rita Heyworth Poster.png, Marilyn Monroe Poster.png & Raquel Welch Poster.png.

I found these photos online, enhanced them in Topaz Photo AI and did some color corrections; the Rita Hayworth writing was vectorized from one of the Propstore sales and added to the enhanced one. The Rita Hayworth poster is 1130 x 762, the Marilyn Monroe poster is 1110 x 762 mm (this was guesstimated) and the Raquel Welch poster is 1015 x 762 mm.

RafalFett what else can be said about your work and cooperation? We are soooo lucky to have you at RPF.
Thank you so much for everything you have given to this forum.

Question: did Andy's Hayworth poster have her signature? I know propstore has it with the signature but was this poster screenused? Or did the poster seen on screen had no signature? If not could you vectorize one without the signature? I know I have no right at all asking you this after all you've done.

THANK YOU and above all thank you for keeping this SR thread alive.

Because some may say I'm crazy (and there's no cure for it), here are the Rosewood whisky and Stroh's beer labels fully redone:
Image68.png Image69.png Image69_2.png
Rosewood Label v1.png Rosewood Label v2.png
Except some of the smaller text, where I used close-to-good fonts, everything was redrawn or vectorized. The difference between the versions is that the barrel on v1 was redrawn (hence the perfect-ish shading lines) and on the v2 was vectorized.
This should be printed as 120 x 90 mm.

Stroh's Beer v1.png Stroh's Beer v2.png
Just like with the whiskey label, everything was redrawn except some of the small text where correct-ish fonts were used. The difference between the versions is that v1 is made more just like the original, where the shadow effect was made of crossing lines (hatch):
Label v1 Comp.png

Version 2 was made with gradient shadow for the background and partially transparent shadow on the text:
Label v2 Comp.png

The small, red label is 63 x 22 mm and the big one is 102 x 85 mm.

Per MAKE BELIEVE's request/suggestion, I did some of Warden Norton's Ledger pages:

As you can see 2 pages were made visible by adjusting the brightness/contrast, but also flipping the image vertically.

Here is a blank page (it's the same for both sides) and a graphical representation of the cover:
Ledger Page Blank.png Ledger Cover.png

Each page is 232 x 147 mm, while the fully opened cover is 342 x 240 mm.

Found on Etsy the pages of Texas and Tennessee from Hammond's Atlas (you can buy downloadable high res scans, just search for Texas/Tennessee Vintage Map Instant Download - Printable Map):
il_1140xN.2123595840_k5pd.png il_1140xN.2123598162_jabk.png
While it's not quite the correct version (as I already said in post #81, it is missing the UNITED STATES SECTION * 153 on the lower right corner of the Texas map), I have made them to resemble the one seen in the movie:
Hammond's Atlas - Tennessee LR.png Hammond's Atlas - Texas LR.png
Download the mid-res files (I say this because I used the images posted at the beginning of the post and not the hi-res I bought from Etsy, as the sale conditions the reuse of the files) from here ==> Hammond's Atlas - Tennessee.png and here ==> Hammond's Atlas - Texas.png.
Each page is 320 x 235 mm.

Made my own version of Red's postcard:
Jack Rabbit Postcard Front.png Jack Rabbit Postcard Back.png
The front was cleaned up then enhanced in Topaz Photo AI; used a correct-ish font which I modified to fit the one on the original. The back was made from scratch except the Liberty stamp and Andy's handwriting (this was vectorized). The postcard is 140 x 100 mm.

And a composite image of the Texas map with the back of the postcard:

RafalFett for your reference, I think this version of the Rita Photo is what the movie poster was based on, it's a much more contrasty and grainy print of the same pose.

Thanks! Yeah, that does look closer to the one used in the movie. The image is a bit dirty (lots of small black and white dots/scratches) which I will clean up and run it through Topaz Photo AI to have a hi-res version.

Last, but not least, here's Andy's letter for the press (I used an image of the original posted on YourProps and I hope it's OK to post my recreation):
The-Shawshank-Redemption-Andy-Dufresne-s-Letter-of-Evidence-1.jpg The-Shawshank-Redemption-Andy-Dufresne-s-Letter-of-Evidence-1_2.jpg Andy's Letter to the Press.png

Made this as a standard LTR or 216 x 280 mm.

In all my years watching this movie I never knew that Andy signed that letter to the press with Byron’s name. That’s very interesting!

The Ledger (among other papers/documents) was sent by Andy on an envelope to a reporter at the Portland Daily Bugle. Was wondering if anyone one with a BR edition could figure out what's on the label. The stamps seem to be three 1965 5c Crusade Against Cancer and four 13c John F Kennedy - the same as on the Thomas Williams envelope)

I'm already working on that envelope, I only have to figure out the correct size and shape.

Made a graphical representation of the envelope Andy sent to the press:
Image22.png Image25.png Andy's Envelope to the Press v1.png Andy's Envelope to the Press v2.png Andy's Envelope to the Press Label.png
The difference between the versions is that v1 doesn't have the stamp perforations (just like the original). The envelope is 381 x 254 mm while the label is 140 x 82 mm.
