Or if one HAS to be made, here are some don'ts:

1. Don't set it in the future

2. Don't include Dutch, Harrigon, or any descendents from them.

3. Don't humanize the predators.

4. Don't show us what we've already seen: jungles and cities

5. Don't radically change the predators. We already have an idea what they look like, and we like it. If the bike ain't broke, don't fix it.

6. Don't show us the homeplanet.

Hopefully the FOX exec's will take a gander at that. Stray away and you could please the majority of predator fans.

i dunno, i think maybe a p3 would be good but, lets get back to basic predators not the big ol tank wearing, humanised, big chinned, cant close their mouths cuz of too many teeth type AVP hunters. I think maybe a storyline where a badblood is loose on earth hunting the best our planet has aka, criminals killers, military, anybody big n mean really (no vin deisel please) and the bad blood is in turn being hunted by elders to bring him back to justice, no human antagonist or hero, this would be filmed from the preds p.o.v. i would like to see that. it could heavily rely on the sensibilities of the predators honour code and how the badblood disregards it.

i like the idea but the preds would either have to speak english, or the film would need subtitles or a narrater.
what about putting the pred in the ocean. you could have a plot like this the pred follows some navy seals on a mission (the mission is unimportant the seals win) and on their way back to the carrier, the pred guns down their chopper. they crash over a coral reef and have to avoid the pred until the rescue boat arrives (you can allow some underwater seens because the seals use scuba tanks that survived the crash). the pred kills a few seals then he tracks the boat back to the carrier and attacks the seals while on board. in the end the human wins and the pred dies but in such a way that no evidence is left. it would place the pred in a new environment and with enough tweaking it could make a decent film.

the pred can not only kill things like sharks but depending on were it's placed you could includ things like crocodiles or jellyfish. also an aquatic pred would look fantastic. (i hope to make a pred costume with an aquatic look to it someday.)
the desert would be ok but the pred would have no place to hide so he would be cloaked the entire time. it might work if he's in some canyons, maybe someplace like goblin valley?

okay so maybe not so much a film idea but im doing some drawings of an idea i had about a young-ish pred landing on earth in medievil times looking to rack up some trophies and gain experience, using a forest for cover and earning a reputation as the inhuman legendary black knight killing arthurian knights of the round table and becoming notorious, word getting back to the other villagers through the weak and lame all those unworthy of the hunt, who caught a glimpse of a man in armour with ungodly weapons and skill.

whaddaya think should i bother doing some drawings or does the idea suck ass? does it suck ass so bad the ass got gloopy and is now sucked through a straw in the form of an ass shake?

I like the idea of Predators being present in human history. Wether it's Medieval times to the Roman Empire to Feudal Japan to ancient Chinese Dynasties. The possibilities are endless.

If I was going to make a predator 3 I would do one about the past like ancient Japan or even farther back like in ancient Egypt. Now that would kick ass. Or you could go far in to the future. And see some predators with much more advanced hunting gear and better armor.

well alot of people didn't like the Idea of having the predators on some other planet, they said that it would be all Subb because the predators don't speak. and you woundn't get a work able plot out that on some other planet, now what would be the prey Humans or Aliens? If it's humans then it's going to have to be way in the Future. but if it's the aliens then it would all be Subb as far as a story goes. but the WW2 Idea is one I had thougth about too one time, it sure could work. but what ever I don't know what others like in movies or story plots, I just know what I would like to see. Kick Ass Predators killing as many aliens and humens as they can. and seeing there bad ass looking weapons and battle skills.

what about something like:

in the heat of the war (Iwo Jima, or Vietnam), the Predator attacks, decimating both the American soldiers and its opponents. With a horror movie like feel amplified by the stress felt about war- you don't know when you could die. then you have this invisible killer out there and people just go nuts and predator kills all....

Dan's movie idea inspired this diorama I built below of Machiko and the Lost Hunters.



Very interesting idea for a movie. Was always curious to see the origins of the Predators.
