My Mk. 42 build, new STL files for upper arm section

Re: My Mk. 42 build (at page 2)

Finally at the finishing stages of the forearm. Just the chrome paint, clear coat and polish to go.

Also Ran out of Tamiya masking tape :( So I had to use regular one for the small squares hence the messy edges. Will fix it later.

Re: My Mk. 42 build (at page 2)

awesome work on the files..i dare to say even best ones in the rpf for 3d printing...are you going to release the palm files as well?

Re: My Mk. 42 build (at page 2)

The clear coat is finally dry enough to be masked, do I'll start on the chrome tomorrow.
I spent this evening attaching the hatch and cover plates using magnets. The plates are spring loaded so they'll follow the gloves movement most of the time.

Everything put together. Gives a pretty good idea of the final look.

Re: My Mk. 42 build (at page 2)

Paint is all done!, apart from some black wash in the grooves. I'm pretty happy with the brushed metal :)
I did the final polish of the glossy basecoat using toothpaste XD. Worked like a charm

And here are some mediocre pictures of everythining place. I still need to modify some of the connections and do the wiring, but it fits and is comfy :)

Re: My Mk. 42 build (complete forearm at pg.6)

That looks absolutely amazing! Fantastic job! I guess there's no opening built in the forearm to force open and manhandle a misbehaving missile, hey?

That is some nice work!!

Ha, maybe just make one boot and you can run around on Halloween as dungeon-escape Tony!
