Re: My joker progress thread. Coat In progress pg3

Couldn't resist shaving and dawning the whole getup this afternoon...
botched the makeup job, and it was the first time applying prosthetics, but I think next time I'll be spot on :)

I just called up one of my "good camera" toting buddies and hopefully sometime next week we'll be able to meet around the downtown areas and get some really good shots of this costume in action!

Re: My joker progress thread. Almost done pg3

Hey Bryan, Thanks for the info.. Damm that's a lot of work. But in reality no more then I spent on my TDK suit. I've been searching for purple fabric with a silver pin stripe about 1 cm spacing based on this pic.. but Im thinking the only way to get some will be to make it.

If you can help me with any other info on materials for this suit shoot me through an email. ;)

Hey Tsuyosa, I just stumbled on your thread here and watched your vids/impressions and I gotta say, That's awesome man. It's one thing for someone to have a great costume for Heath Ledger's Joker ((Which you have an amazing costume that you've put together so far, all those little details really stand out)) but your impressions are dead on, great stuff -- I'm stoked to see how this all turns out in the end. Gotta love the knife too! Keep up the great work! \m/ :D

Re: My joker progress thread. Almost done pg3

Hm, well... that's a very nice costume.
You did it? As in made it?
Or you bought it and wore it...
Just curious, and a bit annoyed by the hijack,
(which, to me appears to be an attempt to upstage me in my own thread)
If that's not your intent, my apologies. But your etiquette could use some work.

Re: My joker progress thread. Almost done pg3

well I did buy it I never try to upstage anyone your costume is great considering you made every piece by hand and I congraulate you on that. It's coming along really well have you added the pick stiching to the coat yet. Are you going make the shoes or purchase some. What are you using to apply the prostheics. I tryed afterwords to delete my post but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

Well, you don't have to delete things fully, they can be edited out.
Nonetheless my response was a bit overbearing.
I blame it on the endorphins in my system from getting tattood..... and rum.

The shoes are an element that I'm going to wait on. I have some stand-ins that I plan to modify but I'm currently out of funds to buy those kinds of materials. To buy them would mean I'm skipping out on my rent!
The adhesive and removers for the scars are a "special" mixture that I was provided with when I got my scars from TraumaFX.

As for the pick stitching, I will be going back in and doing that as a part of "finishing" the whole thing.

Love the work your doing. The one thing that has always bugged me was the blazer. Was it grey or blueish ? I've seen pics that suggest both.
Anyways,,really looking forward to the next update! It'll be a shame when its all completed!

Re: My joker progress thread. Almost done pg3

I 'tried' something today to see if it would help saturate the color of my overcoat a bit more.... seems to be working well. Once it's dry I'll be scotchguarding and weathering it...

Re: My joker progress thread. Almost done pg3

Re: My joker progress thread. Costume Complete Pics soon

I've noticed a few guys are using the sun flower and dime buttons on the vest and I couldnt recall seeing them in the movie. I even went back and had a look for them.. Are they visible in any scene or are they just too hard to spot.

Brad.

The buttons get ripped off during the interrogation scene when Batman manhandles him. You then see the buttons in the final fight and when the Joker is hanging upside down.

Re: My joker progress thread. Costume Complete Pics soon

where did you get the pattern for the glove?

I actually based my pattern off of the image of this glove

How to make Gloves

beat me to the punch

The best picture of those buttons is actually in the behind the scenes shots where he's hanging in front of a green-screen. On film it's so dark you can barely see them, but they're there... :)
