Thought I'd try a fast one... not at all thrilled with it, but what the heck.

It won't be my last try at this... so there's no where to go but up...

cheers,

It's really beautiful -- nice artistic touches.

I love it. Very dramatic angle.

Here's a new one... done by my pal Adam Hughes...

It's his homage to "The Ultimate Computer"...

enjoy.

Would that happen to be .... "the" Adam Hughes? :D

If so I'm a big fan of his "girl art". :$

Even though my ship is in a box and heading to MR for a replacement that’s no reason for me to abstain from participate in the Beauty shots of her. Here’s one I put together from my “stock” photography of the one going back. It is not as WOW.. as the one Adam Hughes did of the "Super Computer" but I hope you guy's will agree there is some drama here.

I call this one "Planetary Defense". (yea, yea I know the lighting angle is a little off)

I don't suppose we could get that in high rez for desktop backgrounds? :D

...and he replied, sure... and then some.

First off, here's a "parts list" of what he built his pic out of... he took pics of him MR 1701, of course, then cobbled together images of astronomy off flikr.

The man's clever...

Here's the high res... although I have still HIGHER if people really need it...

Gorgeous and impressive. I'm blown away.

I would be very interested in the even higher res version, if you are willing to make it available. My desktop is larger and cries out for a non-stretched version of that beautiful image.

Man, I could just weep with joy. This thread is fantastic.

I second the notion that we need more never seen in the show angles and ideas here.

It's threads like these that make me think we need a photo/video forum for these kinds of things. A one stop shop for lighting, shooting, filming props and such. :) I may have to break out the green screen with my Falcon tonight. :confused
