Mandalorian Reference Thread

Was going through my pics from Galaxy’s Edge and noticed something familiar behind Doc Ondar.

Wow the weathering is phenomenal, all those custom boot pieces, all the stitching on the Mando's costume, this is gonna be a costly costume to replicate. Love the time and work they put into it

End of the visor is rounded, back side of helmet is longer and not so deep angled, the black gap in bottom of the ear piece is bigger, bottom of cheek pit is higher. Could be prototype or stunt version?

First of all, there’s a ton of lens distortion in those pictures. Second, I don’t think anybody thinks it is the screen used helmet, but it is definitely intended to be the Mandalorian’s helmet.

It is the same helmet. Same mold, at least.

Speaking of helmets.. anyone know who’s making one? Looking for a good resin or fiberglass cast kit because man.. I want to paint one bad.

Got it. That makes sense. Thought the helmets looked the same myself.

I may or may not make the helmet. I haven't fully decided. And at first glance I thought that helmet was slightly different but I was wrong. After looking at more details I freely admit that.

I know this may seem obvious, but ill point it out anyway. The gloves appear to use yellow leather work gloves, with black finger-less leather gloves stretched over it as an outer glove. That or the tips from the yellow leather gloves were cut and sewn onto the black finger-less gloves.
Just my two cents ;)

Hi everyone! I'm interested in this thread because I've started modeling Cara Dune bits and pieces (ok... so far just one). I've put out the bit that fits on her gloves on 4 of the fingers. I found another good source pic today that shows me I need to modify it a bit. You can what I've put together here: balooken's Thingiverse Profile .

My plan is to model all of the bits-and-pieces, the armor, and maybe the weapons. This stuff just takes a ton of time, but I know some ladies are already asking me for some models, so here I go. Should be fun.

This is probably known by now, but Cara Dune's blaster pistol is based on a Japanese type 14 Nambu pistol. I'd know that grip anywhere, as it's what I based my weapon set for Star Wars: The Old Republic on for an update a couple years ago...

Looks like her boot knife is done the same way as the saber from the set, just using the grip as inspiration and making a knife out of it...

The oddest has to be that grip! We can't figure it out. I estimated and traced its contours, and it made it even weirder.

I think that bit sticking out below her fingers may not actually be handle. the way her pinky finger is spread down, it looks like it's curling under the bottom of the normal grip, while holding an item against the lower part of the grip (which is that piece sticking out). Looks like it could easily be a credit card sized thing that she's holding with her right hand, while also gripping the gun.

I wouldn't be surprised if the show comes out, and this snapshot ends up being from a "grab the cash off the table and fight your way out" scene, and that's a credit chip, or some sort of data card she just snagged, and hasn't had time to stuff in her skin tight leather battle pants pockets. lol :p
