A few new model overlays: Verity Cosplay (drizzt1234) has been working on.

a couple tweaks may be necessary but, very pleased with the current state of the model :)

Going back to the first post. I will add something since it was a TBD. BRRogers mentions that it is not sure whether or not the pommel gear clocking changed positions indicating maybe it was in fact two pieces. I can say after lots of overlaying activity, I have seen no evidence of this. It seems stationary.

however I HAVE seen clear evidence that the gears are not uniformly cut at 60 degree increments around the circumference. Some are closer and some are further.

I can confirm this too. I've not noticed any rotation. The pommel blocks certainly are uneven like you say too. Wouldn't say I'm a one man wonder BRRogers! lol. This thread has been more than a little useful for a start! :)

Very good,
I'll update that section.
With the updated model overlays from multiple modeler/over-layers I would say that's a substantive conclusion about the Hero. The pommel hasn't moved, the gears are just wonky (of course)

Additional observation (that DaveP clearly picked up on from both his model and his hilts):

The bottom chamfer of the gears have a slope change. At the pommel cap the chamfer begins shallower and then steepens.

Just thought I would explicitly point that out as well.

For anyone interested in toying around and pivoting and inspecting things so far... I generated a public view link of what Bryan and I have so far.

we know there are a couple elements to tweak but, BRRogers and I are happy so far.

Hilt Model
