If I order mass produced products from Amazon, I expect and demand that the delivery date be met (since I am a Prime member). I am well aware of the delays that come from smaller one-off custom production runs. Even more so when you have to rely on the work of machinists that also have their own business to run. Throw in the need for revisions while leading a project for hardcore fans that will tear apart every last "imperfection"... As a collector, of course I want it to arrive yesterday when I buy in. I know that well crafted works of art take time and can take longer than expected, so delays are expected. And again, this is well worth it. Now my work productivity will go down today as I start doing my thing to this.
