looking good so far! its the jin roh version

Actually all the files have been ready to go I've just been slacking on making the pepakura files for the armor because I've been busy with pepakura files for Halo Reach and Gundam. I'll start on the Jin-Roh soon and finish it this time around.

awesome! if you ever need reference for panzer cops just ask, im kinda a panzer cop geek, and my blog has pics of the masks i own. j

Send me what you can cylonproject2000@yahoo.com I'll send you the pepakura files first and post the links to the pep files here second. I'll probably be putting the pep files for the armor on my site Pepakura File Wiki once I'm done.
im uploading a zipped folder of pics of the armours. i will shoot the e-mail in a few minutes. its just images from google searches, but theres alot (50 mb of it) so it should be sufficient. if after looking you require more specific images let me know and i'll dig out the camera and take pics of the figures or books (or screen cap movies) when i have the time. do you want me to post link to reference pics on the forum as well for any other prop builders???? :confused

oh, the full size props in the reference pics are a: screen used or b: promotional items or c: one-off costumes, so almost all the 1/1 in the reference pics are not for sale, just in case you are wondering.:cry trust me, i asked! :confused

Besides NAS no, and right now I'm 50% done with the pep files for the Jin-Roh. Let me tell you that full model of the JinRoh had a ton of bones for animation rigging.

Sorry to those whom have written me personal inquiries, I've been unable to respond lately due to a family issue. Things are going well regarding that issue, so I should be able to reply soon, but I'm a little back-logged now with various projects.

I loved this armor. Too bad the live action movie showed so little of it. The whole concept of German/Japanese gear was and why was so cool.

Just posted this on another thread...I created three outfits for my two teens and I for a local upcoming con. We beta tested them on Halloween. We modeled ours off the Stray Dog movie versions, using EVA foam sheets, expanding foam for support and truck bed liner. We used kydex German helmets (M42s?) and cast resin faceplates from Scott at Hanger18 Studios. Here are pics of my daughter in hers (Unit# 03)...Still some detail work to do before a con in May, like paint, collar badges, etc...DarlingDork's deviantART Gallery
Also, I understand that a live action Jin Roh movie is in the works, after years of development hell by a South Korean director. Don't know if it will capture Oshii's feel, but at least it may be made :)

SDC10444.JPGSDC10447.JPGSDC10448.JPGSDC10449.JPGSDC10450.JPGSDC10454.JPG I was inspired by Dornal Snow to rebuild Fuze with a better manequin and some more kit. So here are some nice referance pics. Im going to Model him in Rhino. Any Modeling help greatly appreciated, Im quite happy to do this as a group.

That looks great. I love the detail on the armor! As 3D printing has gotten more readily available to your average enthusiast and the costs is getting more and more attainable, it would be nice to be able print full-sized pieces eventually from 3D scans :)

Thanks Kd. Spread the word if you know any CAD guys who would be up for contributing. Its not quite big enough to scan, but with these as a referance I (and hopefuly a few others) will be able to make a 3d printable model as well as a low deff pepakura one to boot.

Ok Kdsjds. Im going to make a start on this to proove I can do it. You know your way around here better than me, so if you cound nudge a few people in my direction, or tell me to go about looking for help here in a different manner, I would greatly appreciate it.

WIP CAD pics going up soon (Cracks fingers and slurps coffee)

Were those reference pics ones that you took? I only ask because I have that Fuze figure (looks like someone disassembled him for nice orthographic views). I've been meaning to get a good scan of the armor but haven't had a chance to. I'd love to jump in on this project with you if possible.

Thanks for the reply Escher. Yeah I took the pics, need to redo them for accuracy. You are more than welcome to join in. What cad package were you using for the assasin mask?
