JIN ROH Panzer cop Armor Makers?

Well I have access to an industrial 4x8 vaccu-former, can't remember what kind of drop it has, but it can do hot tub liners so, like 3 feet...But don't know how to make the vacuform bucks for anything. If anyone want to make the armor.

Wasn't there some controversy with their Halo kits a while back? I could be completely mistaken. I can't find any threads ATM.

Yea.... There was and I have one of those
Halo MC armor Nightmare Kits. :eek:cry:angry.

Here are some pics of my Nightmare

I sold two star wars costumes to get this.

I will stop here as I don not want the mods
giving me warnings or any thing like that.

What a crappy casting. I don't think you need to fear a warning for reporting on unsatisfied deals. Stick to the truth and you'll be fine. In fact, posting does favors for the community by alerting everyone to the situation so we can make a better informed decision of whom we wish to deal with. Thanks for posting those pictures.

The sad part is this happened several years ago.
I may or will say more later as more of you see these pictures.

I have a video they did with the Head Nightmare (guy)
telling how long it took him to sculpt the halo armor
and it shows.

I have to goto work soon so getting on a rant is not wise at this time :lol

Dude... Sorry that happened to you.

Some of the helmet I got. Flash makes it look better than it is in person. Really orange peeled and fisheye paint all over. Total crap. First pic shows the crack clear through the Jaw. I repaired it. I will re sand it and paint it myself... replaced the Visor all ready.

Wow just saw the pictures that was sad sorry it happened to you. It looked like they cast it in a hurry and I guest QC wasnt on their minds.

Theres a reason they are called NIGHTMARE Armor and not PLEASANT DREAMS Armor. This si why I wont ever deal with them. Theyre jerks and their quality and customer service is abysmal.

Your helmet appears to be made out of the same color materials as the "Darth Vader" helmet I bought (don't let the gray-brown primer fool you).

I have met Sid Garrand (Nightmare armor owner) i have never dealt with him. But the armors i have seen by him appear to be great. I loved his Iron Man stuff they had last year for dcon. The MK1 was really nice in person. They are a bit over priced on some things but that is to be discussed. The accuracy of some of there stuff isnt to my standards

all in all i believe the group to be awesome to hang out with and talk to. but i do not believe i would deal with them.

Is this going to turn into a "let's bash Nightmare Armor" thread. There are a few things I love about their business model, and the paint jobs are great. I could list a number of things I like about them, but it's always going to be more fun to pick them apart.

Doesn't Cushman make Panzer Cop armor ? Is there a reason everyone clams up when I mention them ?

It is what it is, the truth.

I'd love to see some pictures of the Hangar 18 face plates, I couldn't find any on the website.

(Off topic, you guys (hangar 18) did the work or Hunter/Prey? I read about it a couple of months ago on I09, it looks fantastic!)

So, I know this is late compared to the date of the original and last post in this thread, but I was not aware that armor from Jin Roh (Stray Dog, respectfully) was being made at all. I've read through every post...EVERY post...and I've seen a few names..Nightmare Armor...Hangar18Studios. So I guess my question is the same as the OP, can anyone tell me, or pm me a list of guys who make the armor and are reliable. Thanks

Sid Garrand and Nightmare Armor Studios make the whole Jin-Roh panzer cops armor. They're using the faceplate that was commercially available from Japan. I believe they have the wrong cheek cylinders. They are making the live-action version of the costume.

The Hi-Impact costuming group in California has done the animated Kerberos: Wolf Brigade version. I haven't heard much about them lately. I'm not entirely certain, but I think "Clonesix" (a member on this forum) is a member of the Hi-Impact group.

Hangar 18 Studios (Me:thumbsup) also produces the live-action Jin-Roh faceplate, molded off of one of the elusive and difficult-to-obtain Japanese vinyl originals, coupled up with a vacuum-formed German helmet, ....AND I have the correct cheek cylinders! I abandoned the intentions of producing the body armor once other organized groups began producing it, and the fact that there isn't a lot of interest in Jin-Roh. I don't actively promote the availability of the faceplate and helmet, but I do have it available. As always, I can be contacted by PM'ing me, or via e-mail at hangEr18studios@yahoo.com

H-I has pretty much disbanded over the last few years.
I haven't seen any of the group since the last 2 days of the DZC shoot about 3 years ago.

As far as I know only about 8 suits where made.
I never got around to pulling any parts.

hmmm...i see...yeah I've seen the one that HI Impact did which was pretty good. Actually went to their website and checked their stuff out. but they are disbanded? that's a shame. But I agree, not many people know of Jin-Roh or the entire Kerberos Panzer Cop series, which is also a shame because it's actually really interesting. At first my thought was "hey i can try and make something like that!" when i saw a youtube video of a kid in sakuracon wearing the stuff. though i later found out he bought the molds and made it himself from them, and i'm sure making molds is a process in itself. So anyone else know of any others?

The bad economy and most of the members loosing their jobs the same year force many to move elsewhere to find work and housing.
Can't really work on things when your spread out over the state, with a few out of state.

Always dug this armor...could never afford it when a suit would pop up for sale. It would be nice to troop around in, though. Love the whole Jin Roh story and movie.
