This looks awesome. Loving the look of the cardboard, holds it shape really well. I am just making some armour now as well and struggling to find materials in the UK. Where did you get your resin and bondo from? Also any good cheap fibreglass suppliers as mine is card stock.

Hey mate - nice to see more UK Builders!
I get all my main supplies from Halfords - For resin, I use "David's Fastglas resin" - they do a kit that has everything to get started in, including fiberglass cloth, resin, gloves, cup etc
and the body filler is "Isopon P38" - very easy to use and very easy to sand!

So yeah Halfords is the store for me (on its own I think fiberglass is pretty cheap from there - but Ive only bought 2 of the kits and I was able to FG about 5 helmets and ive still got some FG left over from the 2nd kit - so its really all you need mate :D

Upload your progress mate, and if you got anymore questions - drop me a PM ill be happy to help out

Re: Iron Man - Mark 30 "Blue Steel" Build (96% Complete!)

you can make a pvc pipe mannequin

I Have already made one of those - however the bottoms of the boots are filled in so the legs cant really get onto it, and I don't really want to drill a 40mm hole in the boots

------------------------------ PAINT JOB FINISHED! -----------------------------------

Well the whole paint job has finally finished!
However now I shall be going back over all the parts with bondo because I want to get all the imperfections out, like the visible crinkles from the cardboard and also thers a few spots which the dremel had sanded too far etc - So I shall do it part by part - starting soon with the biceps.
But heres a taster!

And now a bit closer so you can see the imperfections and wrinkles I was talking about ;)

So I shall be starting to smoothen the biceps soon and ill be rebuilding a helmet - I might make it a tiny bit bigger as its been bugging me lately wether its too small or not

Oh and the middle "triangle" will be replaced with a frosted plastic

I would, and I would love too.
But my job means I spend over half the year out of the country, and I only have one month left here
When I get back next year I think I will accept some commissions, because I love doing them

Oh btw - ive just seen your war machine thread - That is Amazing! I was surprised I hadn't seen it before

Should I put a preview of my next project on this thread?
