I got screwed on Ebay... help

:( :( :( ... beeing screwed on ebay sucks big big time - I can sing a song about that ... :cry :cry :cry

SECOND SOLUTION.
Ebay has a partnership deal with (cant remeber name) But i paid for a service that will negotiate with the parties. I have at one point paid 22 USD to have removed negative feedback i got from someone who played me. The Negative is removed and comes up as neutral or blank.

I know it can seem hard for both buyer and seller, but as someone who only buys on eBay I can say that the few bad experiences have left me with a bad taste.

I have been waiting eight weeks for some now for some cyberman stuff, and the seller won't post feedback until they are sure it arrives safely (I paid two months ago). Hmmm I am getting nervous that it will not turn up (fingers crossed).

Also I bought some cylon armour for over a grand, and despite leaving positive feedback when it arrived the seller still ignored my requests to post some feedback. Yes I know the best response is to get over it (what other choice is left), but it leaves a bad taste when you spend over a $1000 and the seller is not courteous enough to write some words.

Conversely I have met sellers who are prompt, kind and efficient - and they were only selling a $2.50 comic. Go figure huh.

WAIT WAIT....
If i understand the feebcack system correct this is how you can avoid retalitory feedback.

If you file Non paying buyer complaint first and follow it up later with negative feedback the buyer can NOT give you negative feedback.

I do in fact belive once you flied a non paying bidder complaint they are blocked from giving you negative.

Not true. In my auction, the buyer did not pay. I went through every option ebay had to report a non-paying buyer. The final option had me send emails to the buyer through the dispute center and after no response in an alloted time period, I was allowed to break the contract with the buyer and recieve a refund of my lising fees. So in ebay's eye's I was not at fault and did everything I could to get the buyer his product. I received my listing back and left the buyer negative feedback. He responded to my negative with retaliatory negative feedback (thanks for the feedback LIAR we made several attempts to pick it up thanks alot.). Beyond the first email where he stated he needed to get the money and wanted to send someone over to look at the item first before he paid, I didn't hear much from him. I was very upset with ebay because they implied there would be no negative feedback to me because I used the their dispute system and won the dispute. Wrong - I even called ebay and they explained there is nothing they can do about the buyer leaving me negative feedback and refused to remove it even though they said it was totally unfair to me. This was about two years ago so maybe ebay has changed, but it still stings when I look at my feedback count.

There is always the tried and true method - Leave negative feedback on the very last day on the very last hour/minute possible, so their opportunity to retaliate is diminished substantially.
[/b]

NICE.. :D Its like sniping with feedback...LOL

Is this 90 days time start from the exact moment the auction ends -

If the auction ended on 1st Jan at 13:30 you have can add feedback 90 days later at 13:29 but not 13:31

????

Than out of nowhere today he gives me a negative feedback. I mean WTF?.

I know IÂ’m only out $50, but still it just bugs the hell out of me.
[/b]

I hope you filed a PayPal complaint to get try and get your money back. :(

As for the feedback... your hosed. Ebay won't do anything for you about it. The only way the feedback can be changed is if you BOTH agree to mutually withdraw the feedback. :rolleyes

You can leave a followup comment about the feedback, that the a$$hat seller left for you. :unsure

Expect retalitory feedback from bad sellers and deadbeat bidders. :angry

I'm wondering... has anyone even read the post by Bikerfett on page 1 when they are posting?
[/b]

Yes. And I am wondering what this is supposed to mean: "THis auction was mine the account was not. I sent this item and it never arrived. In the process the person whose account it was got negatives. She sold books on half.com. If you look the negs were from books that did not arrive." His auction but not his account?

"My ebay account is bikerfett and has great 100% positive" - why not just use your own account then?

Something still smells fishy, but he says he has an agreement with saxe coburg. I guess we will see if saxe posts and if he agrees he is satisfied with the answer.

Yes, I agree: a bit weird. And I'm just waiting for whatever happens next.

I always thought that by using Ebay and Paypal gave the buyer or seller some type of protection. I am not sure if I missed this on the thread or not but I do know if you have your Paypal set with a credit card or Visa Check Card you may be able to contact them and tell them that you never recieved the purchase and they should credit it back to you. Worth a shot and lets face it if this is the only neg feed back you gotten then don't worry about it. You are not going to keep everyone happy. Beside money talks :D if they want to sell it and you are willing to pay do you really think that they will not sell to you b/c of one neg mark? Still I am sorry to hear it.

If you have your own Ebay account, why did you "supposedly" sell items using someone else's account? :confused

I mean really... WTF? :rolleyes

If you use PayPal funds paid with a Credit Card, your credit card company will get your money when PayPal fails to do so. That is why ALL PayPal payments I make are funded by the CC.

Ebay and PayPal protection is meaningless. :unsure

It's no safer than sending a money order. It's just quicker.

This does not work in Denmark, for instance - just a heads-up. Unsure whether it works anywhere else but in USA.

EDIT: So... how about getting Saxe's side now that seller has spoken and if there really is agreement then perhaps change the topic title... just a suggestion.

This was Sax's response to me in a personal email I hope he doesnt mind me posting this.

"No problem bro. I donÂ’t expect you to *just* give me a set of grenades for free. If you say you sent them out I understand. The Post Office screws up every once in awhile. But if maybe youÂ’d be interested in giving me a discount on some SST items in the future, it would be greatly appreciated. Do you know if there is anyway we can change the neg feedbacks on Ebay? ThatÂ’s my biggest concern, keeping my Ebay feedback positive. Also IÂ’m sorry I havenÂ’t heard any replys from you on Ebay, IÂ’ve had problems with that in the past also.

Thanks for getting back with me and hope to work this out soon. Thanks."

Jon

Cavate Emtor.Or buyer beware.get in touch with ebay and see if they can resolve this. Thanks

see...When I sell on ebay I automatically throw in insurance AND tracking. NO one can ever accuse me of not sending out something when I have the 'paperwork' to back it up. Its just too damn easy to say it was sent out and 'lost' in the mail.

Fact is bikerfett had lousy follow-up and to drop the negative feedback is totally wrong. You got the damn money for crying out loud, failed to communicate efficiently, had a dodgy ebay auction, still have a dodgy ebay account, and made a claim all to often heard around here that is code for 'ripped off'.

Saxe is being far to accommodating to you bikerfett. Far, FAR too accommodating.

If it comes down to word of the seller then I wouldn't believe a word of it.
No proof of post - no item sent.
Ebay and paypal will think exactly the same thing.

Can't believe that a seller would be so casual about leaving a negative for someone whose paid their money and is waiting for their item to arrive - what does this remark mean?

It was my significant other's account and really didnt think much about it. Live and learn
[/b]

Bikerfett: If you sell something to someone and forget to register the item and fail to proove postage then you should REFUND or send a replacement. Giving someone a neg purely because they complain about losing their money is the sh.ttiest and most unjustifiable action possible.

The onus is on YOU - if you can't proove you sent the items in question why should the buyer believe you?
Why should we believe you either - you've only been here 5 minutes...

Edited for spelling

Has anyone here even read my posts. I offered to send a replacement. Sax said that it was ok and he understood. I am not lying or misrepresenting myself. Why would I throw myself to the wolves and even reply to this post. I was trying to show everyone that I am honest and that we were both in a bad situation. I didnt leave the feedback to him and it has now been removed. It was my fault that I was selling on anothers account which was my girlfriend but I have tried to remedy the situation. I wish Sax would post a message to clear this up. It's not like things dont get lost in the mail. I actually own a business where we buy lost unclaimed and undeliverable freight from UPS. I used to be an executive there. We would get 6 ups trucks a day of stuff that did not make it to its destination for only the eastern half of the united states. Even at this amount it is only 1% of 1% of what they ship.

I understand what everyone is saying and would be pissed and feel the same way about it. But ultimately this is between me and Sax. I am sure if you sell on ebay you will eventually run into a situation like this. It is difficult for both parties. But I did offer a replacement and still offer it to remedy this. It is also my fault for not insuring every item that I send out. but with my business we sell on ebay 100 items every week and I only insure items that are $50 or more. So I apoligize to everyone and if you know Sax have him holla back so this can be cleared up.
