With the experience of building the Alien I have every confidence that applying the hive to the skeleton will be a lot of fun.. I know you guys can't see it but I have it all planned out in my head. Be nice if I could just do the whole house Aliens themed but believe it or not that is not the plan. It's just supposed to be my favorite movies come to life. It just takes forever. Aliens was always going to be the biggest display though.

Getting closer, I need to go buy more 3 inch pipe. I guess a 100 foot wasn't enough...lol

Piping is done... You can already see some of the shapes I am going for. I have already taken some of this down to start on the organics.

So while I am working on the hive the Alien had to come down off the ceiling. I had just the head on a stand and the body is put away but that was not satisfying enough. So tonight I tried to see if the neck would fit on the stand and sure enough it does.. Much more pleasing to look at while I work on the hive.

Almost ready for clayfoam... you can finally see what I am going for here... I tried to do one shot matching the lighting of the movie.. still a long way to go.

Base coat of satin Black and then full airbrush paint with liquitex gloss medium on top and a little silicone gel here and there for slime
