I paid extra to have the PO mess with you. Glad to see they're following through![]()
Oh my. The had the same address, of course. Not sure how one was insufficient. Did you get the one with two sabers or with three?
Oh my. Sorry about thatTook me a second to figure out why the emitter looked weird…

Sitting down and really looking at this thing, I have to say that all of the subtle wanks and wonks and imperfections are truly stunning. Right up there with the equally-stunning Obi-Wan TPM replica. Perfectly imperfect.
I’ve never owned a Qui-Gon saber, nor even held one made by another vendor. Ever. This is my very first, but it looks and feels just right.
Looking forward to the livestream discussion.
I owned a Master Replicas version, that I sold off, years ago…my recollection is that it was a brick, in terms of weight, compared to the Starkiller / Dewey offering.
The Qui-Gon hilt is, bar far, the most ergonomic hit design, between the OT and PT.
Great job on the hilt, guys. Thanks for making this awesome replica available.
Yeah, this one is quite light, especially compared the the previous Obi-Wan replica, which is rather heavy.
And’s it’s very ergonomic. I believe Neeson has been quoted as saying that he chose the design specifically for that reason, since he knew it would be more comfortable in the hand than some of the other designs during all those fight scenes he’d be shooting.
Here’s the thing…you can see where Obi-Wan took inspiration from the Qui-Gon hilt for his own elder Jedi hilt. The grenade section, the cup-shaped emitter, the end cap…all echoes of this hilt. It’s pretty neat when you see it through that lens.
Of course…I’ve always assumed that the “guts” of the Qui-Gon saber were salvaged by Luke and incorporated into his ROTJ hilt.

I expected it to be light since it's mostly plastic, but I was still surprised at the weight of it in-hand. My only prior experience with the design was the all-metal Label, which is also a little larger.
Before repainting it. You might want to try buffing it with a little 0000 steel wool. The shine on the original varies over the body of the saber, I think, due to wear. If you want a little more shine, steel wool can help.My OCD is nagging at me in that the finish on the black parts is flatter than on my Obi-Wan replica. Do I dare repaint it to match? We’ll see.
I’m sure the paint on this replica was chosen with care and specificity, but the screencaps and whatnot from the film do look to show more of a sheen to the black.
