Now you're talkin' my language! Kyle's ring has always been my favorite. In fact I recently got a rare SIZE 13 DC Direct sterling silver replica so I used that to make tweaks to the 3D model I used to print my personal ring. I'll be printing another eventually... once my cash flow improves TwTWent in and modified the modern-style V2 variants (classic symbol tri-band, REBIRTH symbol tri-band, and Patrick Gleason REBIRTH symbol) to fit the current V2 style, with the thicker band and thicker symbol. Subtle tweaks, but they actually helped with better defining the tri-band ribs.
Really do need to get some test prints made, soon.
Also, when the main designs are finally locked down, I need to go in and model some of the other variants seen over the years, just to be thorough, and to build a visual guide to the rings.

Message sent. Lemme know when you've got some time and I'll provide what I can~Cool! I’d be eager to get some measurements from that version, if you have a chance. More data is always useful.
Meanwhile, I’ve again tweaked the gem on the Gleason model. As noted, many months ago, the gem with a 90-degree domed arc (a miniaturized version of the V2/V3 gem) very slightly protrudes from the gem socket, which looks weird. It needs to protrude either a lot more or not at all to look correct. After experimenting with a few arcs, 45 degrees seems to be the best for keeping it flush within the socket.
90 degrees on left, 45 on right.

I'd vote for whichever will make it more comfortable to wear. I'm guessing the slope out as that angles the push to the finger if the ring connects with anything like a chair, or a wall, or Sinestro's jaw...
