Just saw the origins one finished and now can't decide. I know they are uncomfortable with the overlapping knuckles because I made a set like you did a while back. Are the ones from the new movie more comfortable or no? Would be great to see the origins and new versions of them as a set so I could get a better idea of which to go for when you get a chance.

Since I have not yet worn 'The Wolverine' claws at a convention all day long I can not really provide a lot of feedback yet... heck I don't have a set made yet. Still working on the molds. But my speculation is that Hugh wanted a more comfortable set of claws and so they made the changes. The 'Origins' claws can be uncomfortable depending on how they are made. The first set of claws I made back before I did this run made my knuckles bleed and the wire pushed against the part in between my knuckles. Those claws hurt, lol. But since then I have improved the design and grips so they are much more comfortable. Depending on how you assemble them, whether you make them too small or just right, they can be very comfortable. The trick is to get just enough depression on the top of the hand to make the illusion seem real but not enough to put too much pressure on the back of the hand and cause discomfort. I have worn the 'Origins' claws all day at a convention with very little discomfort at the end. I have had more discomfort from other costumes before (boots, hard armor, etc). Just in case anyone is wondering, the claws I am putting out will not make your knuckles bleed, lol. Once I get a set of each style made then I will give you my feedback on the 'Origins' claws vs 'The Wolverine' claws.

Sure thing, lol... not sure if that will come to pass. I guess it depends on the demand. After this run I will start an interest thread and see who might want the longer claws.

I did a test mold to see what finish (which grit sand paper gave me the best balance between the brushed look and the shiniest appearance) I liked best on the claws... I should have done that first, lol. Anyways, I settled on a slightly coarser grit and refinished the 'Origins' claw and poured the first half of that last night. I will do the second half tonight and see how it turns out tomorrow.

Ok finished the new XO claws mold... I am very pleased with it. I put the brushed finish back on the claws and it is beautiful again. This is the best claw I have made yet. I will be casting a set of these and then I will be updating the first post with some hi-res images of the new set. I am gonna start 'The Wolverine' claws mold now. Looks better each & every update! The brushed finish really sets the look of these apart from all the other claws I've seen. I keep saying it, but I can't wait for these.
Tracking says my Bone Claws are due to arrive tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have a review tomorrow night.

I am not asking for payment yet but the way I do my runs is that I make them and ship them out in the order that they are paid for. So If I do 10 sets in May then you should pay as soon as you can but I won't make your claws until you pay. If you don't think you can pay by the end of May then you should let me know and someone can take your place on that run then you can get your set on the June run. Send me a PM if you still have any more questions about it.
