Whats the paper with metal bits in it called? I have never seen anything like that.

I don't know the name of the specific paper - I just hunted through a few craft shops' "scrapbooking" sections until I found it. There's dozens of varieties out there, so it shouldn't be tough to find.

Here's my finished set of reproduction bills, redesigned at 500 DPI. I think this covers all the ones seen in the Visual Guide...

This is sooo darn cool. I came in late to Firefly, having wondered what all the hoopla was about at DragonCon, after buying the series and movie, I understand.. It's awesome..

I'm trying to download and print some serenity cash too, having a bit of a fuss trying to get everything to line up, look good, etc. But, damn, I really like the idea of the Serenity logo and cash display. That's awesome..

Hey, I did some.. My printer doesn't print them out as nice and bright, it's a good home printer, but for printing Serenity $$$... :lol This is too darn cool.

Has anyone done runs of the stacks of money with the money bands? I'd be very interested if someone were to do this.

I did an at cost run of my 8 different bills (6 custom denominations 2 as seen in the movie denominations) last year I printed up some money bands for one person also.

I want want to show some pics of what came in yesterday from Dr.Slurpee.
Even though this was my first time using a paper cutter and I did a crappy job cutting it, I like how everything displays. I printed out the money bands that was posted here and almost all the bills match up with the bands, except for the 5000 and 10000 bills. I used the money bands 12,000 and 15,000.

I was actually wondering the same thing...I bought the QMX Serenity bills, but I honestly like the Firefly designs more.

Anyone got the correct dimensions handy for the TV show bank notes? The ones with the 'Aztec mask' and the ones with a circle with Chinese characters in the center?

I have a screen-used Firefly bill (the yellow $20). It's 5 x 7/8" wide x 4 3/16" tall.

And just as I had feared, the vellum I bought which I was assured by the sellers to be compatible with both laser and inkjet... didn't work!

I'm going to try another type from anther place before giving up!
