But this thread to me looks more like a bunch of school yard bullies picking on someone who is different.

I never said what that particular guy did was stupid. I was talking about stupid crap that people do on a daily basis. I don't care if that guy wants to nail his wang to his forehead because his daddy didn't hug him enough - that's his business.
But telling him it's stupid is
MY (and/or everyone else's) opinion and
NOT a mob attack.
That was my point.

If somebody does something stupid, aren't multiple people allowed to call them on it? If a lot of people have the same opinion, it doesn't make them a mob, maybe the person really did do something stupid.

You know, there are people who would say the exact same thing about their right to call someone who spends hundreds or thousands of dollars on props "stupid".

First, I never attacked this guy, I don't give a damn what he does to himself. Second, I don't know anyone who collects props in order to draw attention to themselves. Seriously, how many people here have bought or made a lightsaber and then wore it to the mall so that people would look at them?
My point was, people do dumbass things everyday and people have a right to an opinion about it. How's this for an example. The other day I was heading back to work from lunch when I saw this guy trying to get in the bank. This guy put his atm card in card reader and pulled the door. I watched him do this five times. He pulled on a handle that was one inch below a big metal plaque that said "PUSH". This wasn't some crazy old guy, this was a guy in his 30s in an expensive business suit. He wasn't blind because he kept looking at his card to make sure he was swiping it correctly. He was just some guy doing something incredibly stupid.
