Building the 8' Star Destroyer (superstructures done)

Hell I would throw in some cash/kit parts for a donation to see this baby get done.

Incredible build Julien.

"The bad thing is that the ISD will take most of my shop so I will likely never be able to build something else that big."

Haha Zap, that's a good idea, I have plenty of ship hulls and Saturn V waiting to be used on something ! :D

Thank you very much Dave ! As far as I can remember, you already participated to this build with some Shinano parts that are already glued, so you can claim this ISD a bit yours lol

Ok some more parts glued so some more progress pics ! :D

Not a stellar update but in this area each every part found is a little victory because they are very hard to figure.

As you can all the rear of this wall is empty, I just cant see the parts used (I'm not even sure there are parts lol, there are not parts in the Chronicles pic but it's in progress... and I think they added a lot more parts for either ROTJ or Star Tour because a lot of part on the counter top parts are 1/20 DFV parts which are just poorly sprayed in white and you cant there's not black primer coat, the silver can be seen through).

You can notice the part ID'ed by Steve36uk, on this side the "plate" (well the wall actually :p) is cut, just the round part is used. On the other side, they used the whole part.

Thanks for watching !

Every time I see the kit parts on the model before you hit the primer on it, I always feel doubtful about the consequence. But once you hit the primers, it turns out to be a perfect fit. That's why I love to see this build.

Hey Julien!

Amazing job sir!!
I was trying to send you a PM but your inbox are full, can you please clear some space?

Thanks, Adolfo

Thank you guys ! I was thinking getting the cone of the engine CNC'ed but to save money, im going to try to scratch it !

Adolfo, Ive made some space !

Interesting, a Harrow in gray styrene instead of the brittle green vintage stuff. Was it reissued?
