Hi ladies and gentlemen, has it been that long since my last post on here?
Well after many months of doing lots of other real world stuff, including illness, operations, hospitalisation, bereavement, phew it’s been a monster of a 2025 and it’s not over yet, health wise getting better but still gave 2 operations to go yet, I’ve been in research mode as I’m unable to work my normal job so I’ve been limited to the computer with my trusted mouse and calipers working on something
All will be revealed shortly

Test cut next week on 3 items, I’ve had 2 pieces cut already but just not accurate enough so I’ve redrawn them and sent them back to my
“Laser Cousin” who does all my cutting, trouble is family doesn’t get priority and I still have to wait

Pincer will be test cut
Zipper I’m still working on, first cut was off over the length as the teeth didn’t line up at the end.
So I’ve been busy today working on some new metal pieces, as you know I’ve already redrawn some and waiting on some sample cuts, these will also be sent for cutting, I will know more by the end of the week,
Also this week I will be redrawing the ears, they actually require some lathe work for the inner tubes/pivots
These will take some time
Parts 4 and 5 drawn up, going to get these sent off for cutting, not had the others back as yet, I’m not going to start the tubes and connecting pieces at this time until I have these back so I can work to the cut measurements,
Going to dust off the helmet and carry on rubbing filling and cutting, lots to do on that
Just dug this handsome fella out, going to start rubbing and cutting again as soon as my hands feel better, over done it on the computer and mouse designing the ear links for 3d printing
Will need to alter the positioning of each link to get the orientation correct to the screen, left and right have different angles
I will probably set the resin printer up tomorrow
