The blue I'm going to use for the pocket flaps and shoulders will be different. The vest used a very dark blue. Same one used on the Mexican jacket.Still the strangest fabric combo I've seen yet...

I meant corduroy and denim lol. Though, the blue is very dark, I agree. The blue I'm going to use for the pocket flaps and shoulders will be different. The vest used a very dark blue. Same one used on the Mexican jacket.

It's going to a kid in my family. He hasn't seen Back to the Future yet so we are showing it to him in July on his birthday. Then giving him the jacket as a gift. Also, this friend of yours must be small! Isn't a 14 like an xxs?
Actually yeah. He told me he is open to doing more.Do you know if London would ever do this same thing again for another person? If I ever find a vest in my size I might commission him lol.
I have that Dual Control jacket for the arms and back, but the real issue is finding a vest that fits! Probably a 20 or an adult small-medium.Actually yeah. He told me he is open to doing more.
Uh...Acquired this. It will arrive on Tuesday. No solid plans for it yet, but the gears are turning.

Dang. I didn't know that's what that artwork meant. Good thing it's getting removed and replaced lol
That's gonna be the homemade jacket? Good idea.Dang. I didn't know that's what that artwork meant. Good thing it's getting removed and replaced lol
Yeah. It's the same vest. I don't fit in it so it hasn't been worn outside since the last owner had it.That's gonna be the homemade jacket? Good idea.
Thank you. I really appreciate that. This is shaping up to be a fantastic recreation of the jacket. One of my issues with any replica is the fact they all look "too new" which is obvious but there's such a sense of authenticity using genuine Guess denim from the era that no replica has quite matched. Really looking forward to seeing this completed.
Some great progress pics. They repaired the holes from the original snaps in the waistband.
