thnx and very true lol. i plan on picking up a mannequin hopefully friday over at mr. used, saw some there but didnt get them priced. hoping they will have other items that will cme in handy there. if all else fails i hope to be able to start making a neck ring, and such

If you're looking for mannequins try and going into malls and see if they have any they want to throw out!!! I Tried that and got myself 2 really good ones for free! Target any popular clothing stores where they would constantly change their mannequins. Let them know what you're going to use it for.. they'll most likely go out of their way to try and get you one.. Another place to look is any store that's doing repairs/upgrading... a lot of times they will throw out their mannequins and get new ones... Just a thought... worked for me.. might work for you too dude...

ps: Sportscheck is good for that and so is bootlegger/Rickies... I know their male mannequins were my exact size, and I didn't have to pay anything for it!!!

Edit: will deff be checking around using ur suggestion. lol. Mr. Used wanted 125 for a mannequin , have in possession now: 3 laser pointers, push on/off switch, 5v regulator, 330ohm resistors, 9V battery, and connector, wires, 6lb's of chevant soft.

will be working on assembling, and aligning the lasers this week so they are ready for when i make the bio. and am on the lookout for mannequins. so will hopefully be able to start sculpting the mask soon as well

so after a days worth of soldering, and having fun with electronics with the father in law, in the end the laser pointers broke on me, and we had to scrap it lol. fortunately it was a good learning experience and we know where we went wrong, so will be able to do it right the next time, after i pick up some laser's that aren't pieces of **** lol. (considering when i took the back off one the whole device fell out at us, and the laser was ruined before we could get started on it.) luckily the rest of the materials for it are still usable

No problem! Any luck finding one? If not, another thing you can do is try to get a larger female mannequim (most are made of hardened foam) and you can sand off the non essential parts... lol if you need to bulk up some areas you can use car filler or plumbers putty (cheap bucket fulls at home depot), then smooth it out to the shape you want it.

Sorry to hear that dude, I'm up in Petawawa ontario. If it wasn't so far I'd give you one of mine.. I now have 4. Keep trying though. Look in kijiji and garage sales also.. might get lucky.

Apologies for not updating in a long time, have been excruciatingly busy and havent been able to get much done on it, however have some spare time coming up, so hoping to get some actual 3-dimensional work done on some parts. thinking on starting with a neck ring, and armour pieces.

Alas, I have a job, and materials are starting to be purchased again the mother-in-law's store is going into liquidation soon, and she can get first dibs on a mannequin that i have had great trouble finding lol. thanks to all who have offered suggestions. have spent time making fake weapons the past few months to see what type of method would work best lol. Hope to start sculpting by next month will post as many pics as I can

Do you have a scanner? If not, I recommend sending pics to your email then saving them as a JPEG file, resize them if need be, then using the uploader in the advanced reply options menu where it says "attach file to post" do eet!

thanks for the suggestion Reyals. my printer, has scanning capabilities, just have to get it to work first lol. had a busy week so didnt get much done infortunatly, but am picking away at it little by little. will post pics as spoon as i can

started a small scale version of what im hoping the mask will look like with what modelling clay i have atm, just to see if i like the design, etc. unfortunately my camera is being a piece of crap and not taking photos. So will be investing in more clay and a camera in the near future. lol
