What's On My Workbench?

I lost 2 of the air hose things that go on the left cheek. I'm pretty sure my little girl was playing with them and may have used them as cookies for her Barbies. o_O Instead of tearing apart the house looking for them, I checked out my pen drawer and was able to use the caps from a Staedler technical pen:

...and a cap from a dry erase marker:

and by your little girl, do you actually mean "you". it's ok for a grown man to play with barbies J.

Personally, I'm digging the dry erase marker, Jason. Unfortunately, the rotation is incorrect based upon my hours of photo analysis, o_O j/k. Way to improvise, brother!

Oh wow! ...wow..wow...wow..wow ...Let the P1 games begin! great start bro ...this is the one Ive been waiting to see

Wow.. that is ******' NICE!! I can't wait to see it all painted up Jason. And as for Bios, Bryan may be the "King Bio-Whore" but I doubt anyone could come close to matching him other than You & Casey. Nice collection & good luck on that Scott Marshall P1.

Might be time for me to put this topic on for notifications.

I spent a long time looking at these pics of the original P1 head to figure out what colors I should use. 1 and 2 both have the same orangey color all around the crown. While 3 is the same head, it looks more reddish...probably due to the outside light shining of it.

The number 4 head is the one that used to be in SWS and although it wasn't screen used and is different, the paint is still awesome. It looks more yellowish for the face color and the crown looks more brownish.

No one paints a P1 head the same way - everyone is different. I've seen P1 head colors vary from yellow/white for the face and red/orange/brown for the crown. I pondered over the colors for a while and then said screw it - I have 3 other P1 heads to paint...I'll try different colors on all of them.

This is how far I got last night. I went with a white/yellow blend for the face and more of a reddish color for the crown. What do ya'll think?

Thanks for all the comments guys...really appreciate it

Nope. I just use cheap ($1.99) plain old acrylic paints from Michaels and Walmart

Finally - the best part - putting on the black spots. I was so tired last night that I only got a bit done, and now it reminds me of that Avatar kid with the glowing blue arrow on his bald head haha!

That's looking great!

So you say you're just using cheap acrylics to paint it. Are you hand sponging and painting or are you using those paints thinned out and in an airbrush?

COOL! Your version on the P1 head looks great. The arrow dots on his head, could he be the predator Avatar? Just kiddin. Hehe. Hope to see this mask finished soon. :p
