Interest Tobin's Spirit Guide by Magnoli Props!

Shouldn't Zuul and Gozer be put under the Egypt and the Dark Continent or Middle East? They were worshipped by Sumerians, Mesopotamians and Hittites in 6000BC. I think the Gozerian Cult is fine where it is.
Yeah, this kind of annoys me too, but it's following the layout of the RPG book. I did add an entry for Gozer in the Middle Eastern section that says to see the Gozerian Cult in the later chapter.

If someone wants a pleather Tobin's you can e-mail us immediately and we may be able to slip a few into this run. Though distressing probably won't be an option as the pleather doesn't react well to the distressing techniques we use.

Thanks Indy. I've submitted my email address through the product page's interest form. Should I reach out to sales@magnoliclothiers.com about my interest in the pleather option?

I wrote a small entry for "death chill" for the "universal" section, but in my research may have accidentally discovered the protagonist of Frozen Empire. If not, it has MANY of the same attributes of an entry we already have in our text. It will be very interesting to see if it's the same character...

I am so excited about this project! It's shaping up to be such a cool item.
There are quite a few mythical characters that could be inspirations for the Death Chill, but a specific one has features matching every single thing we've seen in the trailer (appearance, powers and lore). It's probably the one you are thinking of, but I don't see the name in the list you published before (should be in chapter 4). Would you like to check which one I'm talking about, and if there's no entry about it yet, maybe add one to cover this base just in case?

Shoot me a PM. ;)

From Empire's interview with Kenan:

"The Death Chill is the way our villain is able to devastate the world," says Kenan. "It's a power that is harnessed by the thermodynamic property of the fear we all feel when confronted by the unknown and the terrifying... but amped-up and channelled into a weapon in a way we haven't seem in Ghostbusters before."

Some updates: It took 480 pages to fill the cover to the thickness we wanted. We've made about 450 pages of text so far and we still have a few articles pending. So, at this point, I'm thinking of scrapping the final chapter on superstitions, etc and just fill the remaining pages up with more articles on a few more entities I had on my back-up "to do" list. So... if anyone has any last-minute contributions, let us know ASAP!

I've updated the full list of articles we've either done or are currently working on in this post: Interest - Tobin's Spirit Guide by Magnoli Props!

Here is another teaser of the rounded spine on the prototype blank book. I should be able to do a proper photo shoot in about a week or so and will also start testing some distressing techniques on it as well.

These updates are great. I just hope it has that old book feel. Marbled paper on the inside covers. They don’t make them like they used to. Tobin’s book was creepy, I’d imagine.

I’ve one of those HUGE old library dictionaries from the early 1900’s. The font, and the pages with images having that tissue paper to keep the color from bleeding. Just feels like a real book.

But I won’t lie, a hidden, creepy, fore-edge painting would be so cool.

It will DEFINITELY have that old world book feel, though we won't have the tissue guard between plates (that was only on older books with limited illustrations due to the printing methods used on the plates vs typeset print). Ours is based on later books (circa 1929) which had inline illustrations with the text, so the tissue guard is not appropriate. The marbled end papers are based on the one used in the original prop as well.

That is very cool. Is there any time frame for a potential release? A quarter they are aiming for?

I know you want to get hot on the popularity of the movie coming out, but wouldnt it make sense to wait to see if there are more exact pages shown in the film to include? It would really suck to get this replica and then find out its missing some important stuff seen in the film.
