Gratuitous ass shot... test fitting.

ScreenShot2011-09-01at73209PM.png

I've been reading and learning in this forum for a while. I just started a build with 4mm foam. I began with the forearm. I was wondering if you glued the elbo piece completely to the forearm. I see there is no space between the elbo and the forearm on the painted side. In the actual pics if IM, the elbo always seems to be flush to the forearm.

Excellent build you've got going. I can't wait to see the end product!

I don't know if anyone noticed, but it looks like someone else was in your room that was very excited about your armor too. (look in the very lower left of this picture. lol)

Re: EVA Foam Mark VI Iron Man Build - Partial Right Arm Paint-Up Pics! 8/26

wow! Your armor is the only one with a helmet in proportion to the rest of the body :D is very very good. what is your file utilized?

Re: EVA Foam Mark VI Iron Man Build - Partial Right Arm Paint-Up Pics! 8/26

Intriguing that nobody has mentioned how fantastic the way he's done his ab section is... When he bends in it no doubt it would bend nicely when he sits down... Can you take a picture of the inside of that section? I want to do mine the same way.

Re: EVA Foam Mark VI Iron Man Build - Partial Right Arm Paint-Up Pics! 8/26

Your build is a work of art, its builds like this that make me want to try this and at the same time throw up my hand and say "screw it, I cant compete against this"! Then again I am to the point where I look at my build and look at all of these other "first time" builds and realize just how much I suck. On a positive note your work is amazing and hope you keep it up.

Re: EVA Foam Mark VI Iron Man Build - Partial Right Arm Paint-Up Pics! 8/26

Hi there!!! first of all, let me say how outstanding your armor is!!! I found, at Deviant Art, a cardboard one that's really cool, but yours are waaaaaay more cool.

Now, please allow me to make a question. I'm pretty newbie at cosplaying, and my first attempt was a Batman suit, made of cardboard. Since I've discovered EVA foam, I started to work in a new improved Bat Suit, and the result is being superb, comparing to cardboard. One thing troubles me: shoulder pads; it's being a pain in my #** to get a round shape around the shoulder. I'm having trouble in making a "ball" shape. How you did it in your armor?
I'm using hot glue to join seams and using velcro in some parts. Hope to put some WIP pics later.

If you (or anyone in this forum) can enlighten me , would be very appreciated. Thank you and best regards!!!

Re: EVA Foam Mark VI Iron Man Build - Chest Pics Up - 2/26

Hey man where you get the file for this brace I been trying to download it from stealth but its not working for me any suggestion :facepalm

Update Time!

I built what I like to call the collarbone neck plating spine top part... LOL

As you can see I had to use a tank top over my shirt to simulate what the armor will do to it.. aka keep it flat to my upper chest and upper back. The shirt covered some of the top of the back... and it will sit a bit higher when I actually have it under the finished chest and back.

I also put some photo of it separate. The tape is only temp until I install a velcro system to take it on and off. It goes on before the chest/back come on.

Love your feedback guys. Thanks for all the support!

Oh yeah and I said it once and I'll say it again. All seams will be covered and sanded down to get more of a consistent look across each piece... and grooves will be added later as well.
