The Mandalorian (TV series)

Well, the time-has-passed kind of weathering doesn't really apply, because all of the new weathering happened all at once. In this case, in story, it's like it fell in brake fluid (Sarlacc juice) and most of the metal was exposed all in one blow.

A different perspective from the Vulture article I posted a few days ago:

Don't be put off by the title; it's actually really even-handed and thoughtful.

If this was discussed, I missed it.

Little bummed that when Fett shows up in his old armor the weathering was rather elementary.

We all know to weather a Fett helmet and armor is a complicated process to match Empire and ROTJ. The excellent OT weathering was yet another thing that makes him cool.

It looks like the prop guys used silver and added more silver to reflect the armor has aged and time has passed. I’m ok with making the armor look more aged, but it was poorly done. Looked like they splattered silver paint on it and called it a day.

The show gets so many things right regarding props, I’m shocked for an iconic character, this wasn’t done better.
His armor is acid etched from the Sarlacc, it’s not just a bad approximation of his ESB/ROTJ weathering.

I don't even know who that guy is. lol.
He's the guy from several months ago that got Lucasfilm's 'ok' to make a series of Vader fan films, then had them blocked & claimed by Fox's music publisher. There was a huge stink about it, but Lucasfilm evidently went to bat for him to get it cleared, in a way.

Yeah... I don't know why there's a Death Star there. It didn't exist at that point!

Technically correct, but story is post ROTJ events (5 years) so the events post DS destruction at the Battle of Endor are a major influence to the storyline. The first episode of season 2 also strongly references it.

So I think it fits.

toos? or Pablo?

I guess I should have been more specific. I meant Pablo. I understand that there are a billion youtubers out there doing reaction videos, I'm not shocked if I don't recognize one of them.

I meant this Pablo guy, that is apparently a lucas film big wig, that I've never heard of. lol

My bad... Pablo, if I remember correctly, was basically a guy that knew a lot about SW, LUCASFILM kinda recognized it & gave him some online job, maybe with fan interaction or something. From there, he just rose up the ranks.

That's a super simplified remembrance on my part, but I think that basically it.
