Oh baby this is the "Dust" brand full metal folding The Batman glyph. I am sorry but nothing else comes close to this bad boy.. She folds up, she folds down straight, the clips are not molded, she's got light weather in which many of the film models did. In the hero version on the film they had some there scratched up bigtime and they had some that look hardly weather. This one is from the hardly weathered category.
What makes this piece so unique it is the only prop replica, I believe, that actually is accurate in that it folds to go straight or folds up to go in his chest. All the other versions are one or the other, or they're broken into two pieces which is never featured in the film. The scene where he takes this utility knife which is what this is, that's why it's not allowed to be called a batarang, and he uses it to cut the tape to get into the apartment it almost looks like it's just 1/2, but he actually has both halves. If you look when he pushes back in his chest it's the whole thing.
Anyway it looks like these are sold out. I bought a second one because I was gonna modify it to also make it curved but I just couldn't bring myself to risk it and I don't need two.
The presentation box is very nice but if you look close in the close up picture the little red paper does come up when you take the Glyph out. I couldn't find one of these that did not have that. What's really great is the piece of foam on top of it when you open the box actually you flip it over and makes an outstanding display.
I cannot emphasize how great this thing looks but also how much fun it is to handle. This is my second one and it is brand new.I only took it out-of-the-box to take pictures and inspect.
