The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Costume Build

Wow! Looks good! *o*.. I don't know yet.. What I'll do first is have a practice for it yet before doing on the suit.. Like what I did before like I'll take a print screen and have it printed on the paper and that's where I'll practice doing the puff paints.. I might do another one for the blue parts and test which would fit better either the silver metallic or the navy blue one.. I've look some of the other threads saw that on the blue parts looks like a silver color when it hits at a sunlight.. Anyway here's the pic that I've found and what kind of puff paint I'll used

Oh also for an update on my suit, I'll put a urethane spider only on the front from modelaurobert's work looks great but one of the legs is kinda "broken".. So I'm going to buy a new one from him with a discount for what have happened to the black spider..I've also bought a red spider from him but I'm not going to use it..anyway here's the picsView attachment 328901View attachment 328902

can you pleases give me a link to where you bought those spiders? By the way your suit so far looks great and i highly recommend Tjacks face shells. I just got them and they look amazing

Hey there, I like what you've done with this suit! I plan on making one too, but I'm gonna have to do alot of saving like you! Any ideas on latex? I read about El Fett's suit and think the latex webbing looks better. What are your ideas? Will you be using web shooters with your suits? :)

Hi, yeah I've also seen that thread and might also try that one with the latex webbing..web shooters for this suit? No.. For the next one? Yes I will buy some ;)

Look for modellbaubert's thread.. I can give you the link later as I'm on the phone right now.. Sorry

I mean the waiting list for his combo is 7months now and the other things have waiting lists too.
So even if u live close it will take a long time till he can produce ur stuff.

Just do it leg after leg. Make its outline then along the outline fill it. So that the paint is fusing. And at the end i did the spider body ;)

No. I use the small bottles and use their tips. :)
It is easier than latex. I tried latex on my test suit.

Oh you tried latex? How is it harder than puff paints? :D but isn't the puff paints less durable than the latex?
Do you also know if can you wash the suit with the puff paints on it? It says that you're gonna need about 72 hours before washing the puff paints on it as I've heard that puff paints tends to crack more when washed?

Well. Fabric has to be washed before u put the puff paint on it. Otherwise it cant stick fully on it and can crack. I can stretch mine as much as the fabric allows it and the puff paint stretches woth it oerfectly.
Wirh puffpaint in it i would only handwash it cold.

If u use latex u need a bottle lile puff paint has. I tried it with brush and also wotj a bottle but the latex looks so numb and blah. I dont lile the latex look.
Here is a pic of the latex spider. Lol and yeah a spilled some öatex cause its not as handy as the puffpaint lol

Oh did you use handwash before applying the puff paints? I see what you did with the latex, anyway why didn't you tried the latex with webbings and puff paints on the spider logo? :)

Yes u have to wash the fabric before using the color ;)
I did machine wash cold with a washing lotion for colored fabric. Made the colors more shiney too ^^

I dont like the matte look of the latex. Then i could use the matte colors of tulip.
I wanted the black to be black and not so numb grey black like the latex.
Also i wanted it light reflecting :)

Its not the cgi. Its due to the paints they used to print.

I mean the bricks on the blue :) the webbing is more greyish thats true :)

It seems to me like the 2 religions in spidey suits.
The Slick Blacks and the Metallic Blacks :D

Yeah you're right it does look more black
,but the only one I've noticed is Sam Raimi's spidey suit which is more kinda metallic silver color on the webbings

I have also some slick blacks xD I bought some a lot of puff paints like

Metallic Blacks (TASM 2 webbing)
Slick Blacks(I think this is more on TASM 1 webbing)
Navy Blue(Both)
Deep Red/Red(TASM 1 honey comb)
Metallic Silver(I've tried mixing it with Metallic Black but it looks like it doesn't make that changed a lot)
