Thank you

A lot of people don’t realize just how long his saber is supposed to be. Also, that it only has details on one side. With his personality, it sort of makes sense.
I like that longer one. It reminds me of that style of Samurai sword (forgot the name) that has a longer grip.

Just a quick chime in. I hope everyone is well. I said I'd never again do another lightsaber but I thought I'd squeeze one more " custom mash-up" or whatever you want to call it, left from the remaining droplets of my creative juices.

I'm calling it, " What Might Have Ben". The inspiration came from my own OT driven love for Ben Kenobi's lightsaber along with a disappointing model ( in my opinion) we got from Ben Solo from the ST. I figured the story tellers had Han and Leia name their child after Obi-Wan so why not have some lightsaber inspiration as well? Well, we didn't get it...until now...lol.

The base of the saber is a Phoenix props The light along with Roman props windvane, emitter, clamp and pommel. I decided to do some surgery. It has swappable pommels, each giving homage to each " Ben". I happen to like the traditional Obi-Wan pommel better. Anyways, here it is:

I don’t know why so many replicas have the red button in the wrong place…. or the shroud pieces’ orientations rotated …… or the shroud cutouts on both side sides of the saber (is there another source for this?)……. But I just wanted to do an accurate clone wars version of his saber.

Size comparison with my Obi-Wan, and a 3-D printed Quinlan saber I bought. I was going to use it for reference, originally- That thing isn’t even close.

This one is solid aluminum, with two shroud pieces. Not the most exciting saber….. a friend of mine called it a stun baton.
Yeah one is TCW based. The other is closer to how looked in the comics.

I've always liked your sabers, I don't think there's been one that I haven't. Glad you're still posting.

Thank you. That's very generous to say. Every now and then I get a strange idea for a lightsaber in my head and I have to bring it to life. Over the years it's been less and less but one thing is for certain, I never seem to be fully satisfied with the results until a year or so down the road, after I've sold it, and say to myself " I should have kept that one". Thankfully, I have pictures but I can also say that I miss you all far more than these pieces of metal. Be blessed. Stay creative and always be thankful.
