Show off thread. My new Sabine Wren Lightsaber

Rain…. We got a ton of it starting tomorrow. The weekend is going to be a wash

Don't say that Halliwax. I got painting to do. How do the Massachusetts weather gods know when the weekend is.
It only rains on the weekends here… it’s been terrible

3 races now in down pouring rain.. lucky I haven’t caught pneumonia…

Mine showed up last night. It is in the dishwasher now
For anyone looking, I found a 4 pack of Cascade pods at Dollar Tree for $1.25.

I plan on adding f/x, but I have a question about blade sizing.
The show off video says 7/8" blade, but measuring looks like it would be a 1" blade for a snug fit.
Can I get a confirmation of the correct blade diameter?

update:
For anyone else doing this, do not put the main body or the red switch in the dishwasher.
My main body is back to bare metal after being in the dishwasher for 2 cycles and the red switch faded to pink.
Easy enough to fix, but hopefully it will save someone else some work.

More updates:
For the spacers, I cut down aluminum binding posts. They turned out uneven after attempting to shape them, but overall it turned out pretty good.

Two cycles in my dishwasher does not seem to have produced as dark, or even of a finish as others.

I wish I had a dish washer to experiment with, I would throw it in another cycle and see

I put mine on pot scrubber (although I don't think there's any consistency in dish washer setting across models) and buff the finish in between rounds with steel wool in between rounds

Thank you for the replies.
I am hesitant to put it back in the dishwasher, as I was starting to get gold toning from the heat, I had to touch up the black finish on the neck (there was a weird even triangle pattern, maybe from the jaw that held it in place during machining), and the brass is already superglued in place.
I may try buffing it with steel wool and using a tub with cascade to see if that will darken it.

I dont know what your water temp is set at, I’ve seen some guys washer work amazing and some guys washers like you say give it that gold stain

Wish there was more consistent

When I did my V2, I found a lot of variation from the soap type, which you would expect, but also from top rack to bottom rack and even orientation of the part on the rack.
