Seriously though, I know Fox is not the one shutting down these auctions... hell, they advertise OUR stuff on their AVP community site! If anything, they love what we do and promote it. The people that are submitted vero complaints are just other sellers/people with grudges. Sad, but true.

what a funny bunch of guys we have here on the lair. you have definatly made me go from being pissed about this to laughing my ass off with your replies to this tread. yeah i cant believe someone can just say there from fox or report something and it gets pulled. i looked into the ebay polices about reporting something awhile back and it states the only person that can have a item removed it the actuall owner or the one that has the copyright on it. i guess that isnt true anyone can email them and remove a item. ebays customer service of course contacted me and said fox personaly had them remove it. PLEASE!. anyway i guess it was a sign that i wanted to keep it anyway.

Problem with this, which whoever is doing the reporting apparently isn't aware of, is that yes, for a short time it will remove competition so his or her items are assured of a sale, even though they may be of lesser quality - but with the raised awareness around these props, with the reports, will eventually come bite that someone right in the ass and have his or her auctions shut down as well. The sad thing though is that that person wold probably not care, but just move on to other stuff, regardless of what he or she just destroyed for everyone.

^Thats a problem that is commonplace wherever you go. People tend to not see the bigger picture, and the bigger percussions of doing such things. But those people are obviously not in the prop biz as a passion, more like to make a quick buck and screw the competition into the dust as any means possible.

As a few people pointed out, theres other places to hawk your wares. Ebay may have a huge base of potential customers, but is the drama and stress really worth it? Those potentials will eventually flock to you [the sellers of this forum] if the best goods being sold by the best sellers are doing their business elsewhere. "Elsewhere" could be here at this forum, or at a prop-specific auction site. The choice is yours.

FOX usually doesn`t do the footwork personally. They send Lawyers to do that. lol And IF FOX Reps did do the Veroing, boyos they sure have a funny way of picking and choosing what stays, what doesn`t. THAT.... makes me laugh.

I think IF the Vero is legit, you should be notified WHO the Vero`er is. With their credentials and proof. Right now it seems more like a Drive by Vero`ing. ;p
