Scratch built Terminator T-800 Endoskeleton

Wow, thank you all so much for your support! :)
101, I have seen your endo before and it's one of my inspirations! ;) Great job!

When i first saw the first pic of cardboard i honestly thought this is going to be crap!! making a Terminator out of cardboard lol

Truly Amazing Talent there though, really impressed ;o)

Thanks guys! :)

Here's the latest update:

I built and fitted the extruding vertebras of the spine:

I also did a test fit of my previously build shoulder blades, but I noticed they were too big:

So I sliced and diced--

I think part of what makes this epic (other than your mad skills in modeling!) is that you see the cardboard as the core, not the finish surface. I've seen cardboard builds that look like, well, *cardboard*. You're doing kind of a hybrid pep.

This is the same kind of genius that Atlanthia demonstrated with his Trooper helmet. Very inspiring!!

Thanks, WarPig! I have actually been approaching this project a couple of times with different methods but I have found that this way works best for me! :) It takes time, but I can get the finish that I want, plus, cardboard is super cheap! ;)

Some more progress:

I have started to cover the shoulder blades with papier maché:

And finally, the hand is in progress!

This is seriously impressive. Even with the benefit of all the great progress pics I can hardly believe that this is made from cardboard. Can I ask you how you are figuring out the templates of the various pieces of cardboard ..do you have a pep file in your brain??

Oh man!! You are really good!! And all this made from cardboard?? Impresive!!
Waiting for more pics from the hands!! XD

Thanks guys!

Robmcn, I have a whole bunch of reference pictures and some measurement from endobuildersclub to help me.

I also have the 18" neca endo as reference! :)

Here's a new update on the shoulder blades. Work on this is going SLOW atm!

And a full body shot with the shoulder blades in place.
The head is a thai recast that I resized in photoshop to get the right size and idea.

Oh, I couldn't help myself so I did a mockup of how it would look with some of the pistons in place:

I'll continue working on the hands as soon as I get my hands on some balsa wood!

OMG I am a forum virgin and was just looking for some info on building my own endo and all i can say is im not worthy.
Hey guys! I'm not really new on this forum but I've never posted anything before so I thought I'd give it a go and show you what I'm working on!

Apparently I was posting in the hacked site previously, so here I go again!

I'm currently building the Terminator Endoskeleton from scratch!
Materials I'm using includes cardboard, wood, papier maché, bondo, whatever I can get my hands on basically! I'm currently using a thai recast endoskull. It's about 10% smaller than the real thing so I'm thinking of modeling one from scratch later on!
Here are some progress pictures leading up to what I have so far:

Here's a shot of the over all progress! I resized the head in photoshop to get the right size!

And yeah, this is pretty much how far I have come. I'm working on reinforcing the arms with a wooden frame and I'm building all the joints from wood.
