I'm going to mold it. :)
I thought I would do it this weekend but other plans came up.
I still need to get a hold of a good mold release spray to apply to it before I start molding.

Darn! Was ready to see a cast, but it's worth waiting. Keep up the inspirational work

Every time I wander back to this thread my mind is blown. Keep up the amazing work and I'll definitely want to get one of your endo skulls when you do offer them.

chanfan,

Not to be redundant, but this is creatively and logistically incredible. It encompasses the true spirit of prop building. In my several years on the RPF one of the only threads I have subscribed to...absolutely stunning!! Keep up the great work.

And I'm definitely in for a cast of the endoskull if you offer them!!

Can't wait to see more progress...

Amazing work! I am really enjoying this thread. I had a question: Will you be able to remove the CPU from the "skull"? There is another artist that is creating a removable CPU and housing... I am sure you have already seen it. I thought to myself that it would add another level to your already amazing build. I know nothing of sculpture mechanics, so if my thought is off, please forgive me.

Wow thank you all so much for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you are enjoying my build! :)

Cadeus, Yeah I have seen it and it is awesome! :D
I'm thinking of adding that feature once I cast a master skull.
I'm not able to do it with this original one because of all the steel wires and stuff in the armature. :S

I'll make sure to keep you all posted when I offer the skull! :)

Once again, thank you for all of your support!

Yeah, this is one of those builds that makes me want to kneel and shout "I'm not worthy!!!"

Amazing!

Small update,
I purchased a new kind of filler. It's brittle, but easy to handle and sand.

I recieved my smooth cast products from Finland plus a couple of awesome jaw pistons from Endoskeleton, THANKS! :D

I thought I should continue work on the skeleton itself, but as I was putting the pieces of the endo together I noticed that his chest looks a bit big.

I need to reduce it's depth quite a bit, or is it just me?
Here's what I mean:

Other random shots of the overall progress! :)

Well I couldn't find a side profile shot to compare to, but personally I think your right about the depth. More of a male chest in the second. Just a personal opinion and not a "it is screeen-accurate" opionion. Keep up the fantasitc work

I think this is really looking fantastic, its a hell of a big job to tackle aswell (y)thumbsup:thumbsup
There is one small aspect I'm curious about though... shouldnt he's spine have a slight curve to it, it looks very straight atm :confused

Keep up the awesome work man :)

Thanks for the input Dericrw and Leigh
I did a total overhaul of the chest tonight. Made it a bit "tighter" and realigned it with the back. I'm going to have to do some more work on it but I need to let some glue dry before I continue.

Yes, Leigh, you are right! I will try to give it a bit of a curve! :) I think that will make a big difference to the humanoid feel of it!
