Glad to hear it. I realized... The factory did not make a mistake; I did. The card front can't be aluminum with this production method. The white shown here is not the soldermask; it's the dielectric layer. You can't expose the aluminum this way, so I'm not sure how to do it to get the gold plating on an aluminum card with the aluminum base exposed.

Mine came. Very cool! I had to sand the bar, though. The fresh 3D print felt a little weird. Had to smooth it out. Just personal preference, not a complaint!

For some I sent out the jet black pla 3d print, and for others i sent out a dark grey resin cast which had the layer lines removed. There's not been consensus on what teh actual color of the bottom bar is, some saying grey some black, some aluminum.
I'm not sure where the other thread went with the discussion of the bottom bar, but people were saying that the semi-circle is actually an opening with the card showing through. I'm thinking of making an updated file for the bar, and allowing people to order it themselves from shapeways. This'll let people pick their own color, provide a better finish and surface resolution, for those who want the upgrade. It'll end up being around $6, so I'm not profiting on it, and be available in white, black, and metallic grey.
