Found it - and I remember why I set it aside - it's a flippin' complex hull. Still, I'll give it a go.

I'll make a separate progress thread for it.

Here is picture of the original series Martian Spacecraft. Since there were no engines or control surfaces - did the martian masters fly the pods to earth using their telekinetic powers to lift - guide - and propel the ship? They were physically plugged in to the ship with the crystal strand lattice.
