Appreciate all the kind words. Hopefully in the future one of you can make it happen. As for me I think I've done enough for this hobby and this place to make it successful.

A Predacon of some sorts will happen, It is just a matter of time my friend. And you will be there, you know this.
 
Im really gutted for everyone that has put so much effort into almost making this a reality but the lair is strong and it will take more than this setback to stop the dream from happening one day. When I first joined here there were few and far between people in the UK with predator props and suits. Now our numbers are growing and we have an Irish clan promoting events etc. Ultimately all your hard work thus far is paying off and is paving the way for the dream to happen one day.

Chin up :) Ultimately, were all VERY thankful for just the lair. Anything else is a bonus.
 
Here is what the show outline looked like....it was just a template and lots of details were still being worked out but you get vibe of the event.

General Event Outline:
- 5 hour event commemorating the 25th year anniversary release of the film PREDATOR.
- A cast reunion of the original stars of the film PREDATOR.
Event Details:
- Screening of the film PREDATOR with the stars and guests.
-a Panel of guests and stars.
- Autograph and Photo session with guests.
(Separate autograph Fees to be determined by individual person or group.)
- Awards presented Lair productions and Eaglewood Studios to original stars and guests,
- Lobby Environment to be set dressed with props and elements to provide atmosphere and original look of film.
- Established areas for sponsors and vendors for retail of predator related merchandise and collectables and Arnold classic memorabilia to be provided.
- Auction of related memorabilia with proceeds to be donated to Intrepid Fallen Heros Fund.
- Costumers and ‘Handlers” from the forum The Hunters Lair dressed as Predators to provide photo opportunities with guests on green screen.
- Costumers to distribute promotional marketing collateral for sponsorship partners.

gutted this couldnt happen mate... it would have been kick ass....

I know us irish guys got the first all pred event going but we hadnt got any celebs lined up... you had some line up and event ready to rock..

we will however keep the banner flying and will defo be organising more pred events.. in particular for next year... would be great to get some of you guys over....
 
so without arnold we cant have this event? Or can we ressurect this idea without him i mean thats what i've gathered from all this. am i right or wrong? I can try to work some convention space deals here in vegas where i work at caesars palace have a 5k person capacity sell tickets to the event. Get plenty of promotion and sponsoring here. I mean i hate to see this dream shot down so i'll toss ideas out there. I mean we can still get some or most of that venue list back in action im sure not a 100% cast reunion but still worth going to
 
seriously imagine a pred invasion on the las vegas strip after party the publicity would really boost the lair to a new level
 
It can still happen... The whole idea was to capitalize on what gene clay and crew had done at the Arnold expo this past march.

Just want to say thanks for all the work you put into it. It would have been a great tribute and experience for each of the members here. I would say keep the faith, you pretty much are the guy who inspired thousands of people with this predator hobby, you will eventually get this together. :)

Agreed lets make this happen, but I got one question Ohio??? Why not Vegas? Make this more of a convention even instead of a movie showing. The only thing I know that Vegas has is Star Trek conventions so let's change that up.
 
Unfortunately things come up, but I believe that we should still proceed with a Predacon to celebrate not only the movie, but celebrate the 25 years of predator that have been created by Stan and his epic hunter. I think it would be pretty cool to have the con on the exact date that it was released, 6-12...just 25 years later. In a sense, with a con like this it would be the ultimate tribute to Stan, KPH, and the rest of the crew that created our beloved hunter and that kept it alive to this day, and in the future.

While getting Arnold would be the ultimate, he doesn't have to be a guest. There have been 5 Predator movies out, and besides the fact you guys got to hang with Brody that one time, getting actors from any of the 5 films would work. Lance Henrickson from AVP and Adam Baldwin from P2 already normally do the convention circuit as it is, for example.
 
Who wants a PREDACON!!!!...
I worked as an event planner and trade shows for 10 years. It takes an entire team to make it happen. As we were planning here on this side of the planet, i had folks working on the downlow in other countries. once we would have gotten to the next stage.
It was on, clay made these cool awards the mini lids. Lee was making contacts and sending requests. It was a labor of pure awesomeness.

The formal global call to arms would have been made. And when it does happen. If you don't show, you will be banned from the lair :)
