What I'd do is build the head first without the mandables, and then attatch them later.
Much like many sculpts done here.
I thought that too....It didn't come out well.
I think the membrane inbetween the mandables needs a touch up.
Actually, not to put it too harshly, but it needs more over all shape. Right now it seems to have a constant 90 degree guidline among everything, something that organic models shouldn't have.
I think what you need is a solid front/side ref pic to "trace" from. That's how I usually do it.
I'm not bashing it, just giving crits, it's not beyond salvation.
I never said I was good, I said YOU can be better. ***** ******* ******. And I'm a tad reluctant to post my work. I know any PO'd Blender user would JUMP at the chance to irrationally taunt an innocent Anim8or user.
But here's my youtube channel.

Why would I need to back up what I say? They're ******* CONSTRUCTIVE critisisms! I'm HELPING you!
BTW: I really can't do a better alien right now. My comp sucks too much for me to delve into full detail.
I like the material a lot.
Thnx. I am going to round it out like you said, but I needed something for a progress video for some friends. If you're interested in constructive crit, then I would like to say that the head is still very much in the form of a cube with a very flat top and sides. You could round this out to form the skull shape. If you can find front and side views of a predator's face, you can put those in your viewports to get accurate modeling reference. If you could also make the dreds less straight that would be great. You should be able to extrude round curves down a path to create them in whatever curvy way you want.
Good luck!
nice you should make the dome of the head more upward and whats the ink for program?
