I really do see tooth star edges in the movie, I guess it's up to personal preferences at this point
Out of curiosity how wide is it? 1" or smaller?

I believe it’s an OD of 1” and ID of 3/4”. It’s so wild that I we both started working on a costume at the same time!

Ended up getting one out of curiosity, and I’m proper happy with it, removed the cap and used a tube cutter I had lying around to go around the silver bit, and that’s absolutely perfect haha, thank you!

A friend and I went to a screening of "Phantom" last October. I love it, she hadn't ever seen it and she became an instant fan after the showing. It's now just another thing that we obsess and bond over now. It's got me thinking about making a full "Phantom" costume myself and I'm starting to follow all the assorted threads to start building some things soon. This box is something I'd really like to try my hand at, along with the helmet. I found vintage Synthcon power supply units but they're pretty expensive for something I'm gonna gut anyway. Any leads on just the box itself?

No. Never.

I just love that all of the sudden, we're all at it haha!! Out of curiosity, which version are you making? Silver cape or red cape? I am still on the fence for my costume.
The synthcon can be expensive, I managed to find mine for $40 because it was sold as "for parts". Just keep checking ebay I guess, it might come up.
Connecting with movies is truly amazing, so happy she loved it!

The red cape is in one of the best shots of the movie when Winslow starts running down the hallway, but I always associate him with the silver cape. I think I'll do the silver cape one (though it'd be a fun idea to make it swappable with a red lining, too).

It's my favourite too! I think I'll go for red, only because it's visually a little more interesting than the silver one but also you don't really see that one replicated very often haha.
