P2 Hero Bio Reference Pics

The only 'realistic metal' paint system currently available that I was able to find was so expensive and convoluted, it wasn't worth bothering with, unless you are totally anal about it and don't mind spending the money. On a budget it's either cold cast or crappy metallic paint.

There are plenty of VERY accurate P2 bios floating around.
There are NO screen accurate P2 HERO bio's available ANYWHERE!!! including mine. Or I need thick glasses. I spent 4 months on and off on mine and know the bio inside out, I could sculpt it again from memory. There are very good efforts of P2 bio's, but are mostly stunt based and lacking in detail.

'invisible killer' want's a screen accurate HERO. If he wants one that accurate, he'll have to make one using screen caps.

Well you can protest as much as you want. There are several stunt bios that have been converted to a very high level and close to the hero version.

Length of bio, details and centre forehead detail have been added.

Edit : and paints like any other tool are only "crappy" if you do not use them correctly.

Thanks for you opinions but which is the best p2 hero bio available?.I am thinking about to staing t a new p2hero bio proyect based on a stunt bio.

Just pick up one of the many stunts. They are far more accurate a base for you to convert and thus way way closer than you make, or start from scratch.

Good luck and keep us in the loop in Invisible. :)

Man there are some very bold statements being made on this thread.

Hez does a very nice P2 Stunt. He doesn't visit the lair anymore but you can get him at Skunkworks props. I know that he still does it because I had one off him this week.

The most accurate fan made hero I've seen started out as a stunt. It was simply amazing. Its on the RPF somewhere.

With regards to paints. Plasticote water based metalic enamel paints have a very high level of metal in them and are cheap. I've had great results with these using just a sponge. For the money you cant go wrong.

This was the first time I used Plasticotes and a sponge and to be fair I think they are quite effective. Predatrhuntr has a huntorial on painting with sponges which is cool. Check it out.

Anyhoo. Good luck with your project fella and keep us up to date.

Hip.

I still like this one. http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/5682/dscf7359n.jpg Although I still think the nose piece needs to be made a bit wider.
Ok so I got a little heated yesterday, sometimes I need to soften my opinion. I guess people have a different idea of what is screen accurate but looking at Tri Laser's post. look at the ridge under the laser housing, it's just a series of lazy lines. It's a nice piece but why do a competent sculpt and then skimp on detail and to then claim it's screen accurate is simply a lie. To me every Bio I've seen miss these essential details and nearly always the wrong shape - it's just laziness to me. Or I'm  pedantic OCD.

Anyway I'm done with this thread said all I have to say. Good luck with what you decide. I'l look forward to seeing your bio when it's finished.
